Untitled_Project
The knobs I want for my build come only in solid shaft, and I cant find a push/pull pot with solid shafts. Could I mod the splits shafts some way?
Ripthorn
You should be able to. Usually the solid shaft knobs have a set screw. There was a discussion here (I think, it might have been DIYstompboxes) about using solid shaft knobs on split pots. On solution was to put a small cutoff from a drinking straw over the split shaft and then put the solid shaft knob on and tighten the set screw (this was so that the knob stayed on and in the center). I'm sure there are other ways as well.

Tim37
my strat has a push pull to activate the bridge. i used a standard strat knob and it works fine but i think it is recomended to use a knob with a set screw since there is a chance of pulling the knob off. Quarter
You can buy brass sleeves to adapt split to take a solid shaft style knob http://cgi.ebay.com/Adapter-Sleeves-5-Conv...=item20b4f8d6c4 I've also made them myself by drilling out some 1/4" od brass or aluminum tubing from the hobby store, 15/64", 6mm, bit is what you want. DC Ross
Easy fix: Put a bit of binding in the slot.
Geo
Easy fix: Put a bit of binding in the slot. Yeah. Even easier... align the set screw with the slot in the shaft. As long as you are not screwing it onto the full side of one half of the split (and thus eventually collapsing the split shaft), you should be fine.
