boeba
Hi guys, looks like the last time i posted was july...... Since then i've been thinkin about what to do with my drawing. when i placed the drawing on the blue background this wasn't smart. It's like drawing/painting in negative.(black background and white lines.) So i decided to redo the drawing but on a white canvas. Below is a pic of the new design, and now i can start to paint. pauliemc
It may be some time before you can clear over the paint if you use oils, they can have a very long curing time. especially if you use them like me - thick. If you choose not to clear it you will have issues preserving the painting due to player wear. I have always tended toward acrylics fir this kind of stuff, as I can at least clear that after about 4-6 months. Still - cool project

boeba
Hi guys, So it's been like ages since i posted an update. It was a struggle to get to the point where i'm at right now. So after the last drawing/design i made on the guitar, i started to paint this. But after 10 minutes i wasn't satisfied with what i got , so call me crazy but i sanded the whole thing down, and started again with a new drawing. 10 min failed paint job. ---------------------------- design nr 3. --------------- This is going to be the final design and i will just make a pencil drawing on the guitar. no paint or colors.(you have to know your own limits)
Prostheta
If you're happy with making decisions that other people would shy away from, good on you. It takes a lot to decide that what you've done needs to be re-done. I think mental investment in one's workpiece is a double-edged sword that can cause problems as well as inspire.
kmensik
I do not like the way you modded your guitar, even dont like decorated guitars, but your drawings have a quality and impress me with both the technique and the content. Plain pencil will be great. Do you know how to fix the pencil lead? Avoid glossy lacquer.

meatloaf
I wish I had artistic talent like that, I've got a couple of ideas in my head for future projects but with my lack of artistic talent I'm afraid thats where they will stay.
