First bass build

An ink splotch, huh? Sounds inspirative!

Knowing your idea. allow me to point my finger to a less splotchy spot: Splotches tend to have round inner curves and either round or sharp spurts from the main puddle. Your cutaway doesn't seem to follow that, there's a gap in the continuity. Either make both cutaways curve up towards the headstock like in the ESP or connect the cutaways under the fretboard - did that make sense? The former might be easier to double the idea of the lower bout. Something very vaguely like this:

Suggestions are just what they are, suggestions. There's nothing to complain about structural integrity, aesthetics is in the eye of the beholder,

Thanks! I did the back first to test which colors to use. Long story short, I did the fade with waterbased purple and the pink and blue are alcohol based dyes, which turned out a right pita to get to fade without hard lines. So for the front I just mixed the blue and pink to get a purple. Not as strong as the back but much easier to handle.
