woodfab
I found that making guitars is FUN. I get most of my inspirations while falling asleep. Last night I thought, Baltic Plywood so I cut all the wood and I'm ready to glue. Should be a fun project!
Bizman62
Holy slices, that thing must be heavy! Then again, I don't thing you'd need a truss rod unless it's for applying relief.

Akula
Following this keenly. "Plywood" is such a broad term. One of my favourite guitars had a radiata pine ply body, good pickups and maple neck. Played it to the death and built a new mahogany body for it last year. Used to get a lot of compliments on it's sound - the plywood construction was quite the secret. But Baltic Birch is a much better material all round, and I'm really keen to see how the neck comes together. - Jam

woodfab
Well I almost cut to deep on the neck taper, and was thinking of trashing the whole project The neck has ended up thiner by a 1/16" but I guess I can live with it.
Bizman62
I had to double check about the body: There seems to be a pattern of tight grained wood, especially visible in the waist.

woodfab
Well I made a BooBoo and ruff-cut the back of the neck to thin. I tried removing the finger board with a hot iron but failed. So I have decided to throw in the towel on this one.
ShatnersBassoon
Oh man!! Such an exciting build too. Love it when people work with unusual materials. Have you got any plywood left?
ShatnersBassoon
Maybe you could save the body section?
