vh-guitarstore.com Posted March 11, 2003 Report Share Posted March 11, 2003 I just wanted to say hi, im new here.....ive been on the links here for awhile but really havent had the chance to contribute much.....I run a custom shop as well as manufacture guitars here in Maryland.....Right now we are mainly paying the bills by manufacturing different guitar parts.....Not a day goes by that im not painting guitars and we make as many guitars as we can each week.....ill try to get here occasionally to field any questions or give some insight if needed...i know brian has done a tremendous job enlightening the masses, so im probably not going to be much help.....also, im probably not the best person to ask about doing things with limited tools(brian is), but if you want to know about the big machines im there Quote Link to comment

vh-guitarstore.com Posted March 12, 2003 Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2003 im always looking for things i dont have, anything....im building quite the library of templates now the chrome thang is the real deal....i havent had the time to mess with it until now, so there should be some pics coming soon......im kinda waiting to finish all the cnc programs for my other company first.... i do know for sure that ill be chroming at least 2 jem bodies soon.....whatever else i dont know yet... i want to do them in batches first on another note, we were going through some western maple that i had in the shop the other day.....i was told it was figured maple when it was sold to me, but i pretty much blew it off as rhetoric since i got it for cheap......anyway, i was surprised at the figure we got when we prepped the blanks.....originally i was just going to do these as whatever bodies i needed....but the figure is too nice.....so we spent(me and scott r.) trying to figure out what would be best for it.....of course he suggested a jem or a vai greenie with rear routs.....im not too into what the vai crowd wants, so i dunno......any suggestions? of course i may just keep it for me Quote Link to comment
