  1. Check the US Ebay site. the US-UK exchange rate could make the shipping cost tolerable
  2. Check with LGM, It's possible that he did a vine inlay on the stock neck and refretted it
  3. Brain has stated this on more than one occasion that he doesn't want a FAQ thread. IMO It's easier to search than read through a bunch of other crap to get to what you want
  4. Didn't you read the news? Canada joined the U.S. as the 51st state
  5. they're suposed to sit on top of the body, ie, the lip on the ferrule doesn't go all the way into the hole you drilled
  6. They're not the same. the warmoth is still a bit thicker than the real thing
  7. First off, let me echo the comments above. If you don't have the right tools you probably shouldn't try and tackle the job. I'm not saying it can't be done but your chances are 10x better with the correct equipment. here's a tip for you though, take a razor blade and slide it along the fret to score the clearcoat that is still likely to be attached to the frets.since the necks are cleared after they're fretted. Dan Erliwine covers this in the StewMac Fretting book
  8. Update: There's been a setback. the guy I git the inlays and fingerboards from shorted me 2 pieces of inlay. the large leaf on the 15th fret and the larger of the 2 leaves at the 24th fret. so needless to say I wont be getting the boards glued on this weekend
  9. There'll be alot more stuff like that in the Trash in Louisiana. insurance Companies will come in and declare a property a total loss including everything inside. That means everything gets tossed
  10. DAMNIT!!!! now you've got me thinking about Cream neck binding to go with the Cream Dimarzios
  11. OK! here's an update I got the neck backs cut and glued up. The Fingerboards also arrived today. I'll post pics of them after I get all the little inlays glued in. BTW I went with Ebony boards and Turqouise vines I changed my mind on the body finish, right now I'm thinking clear with a very slight black burst edge. any comments?
  12. Unfortunately like pery said, no Lopro version exists except Ibanez'
  13. sounds like worn knife edges/posts. I'm assuming that its a "Licensed" Floyd. Those baseplates wear out pretty fast under heavy trem use. I'd replace the trem with an Original Floyd or a Schaller Floyd. Also cjeck to make sure that the screws that attach the nut to the neck are tight
  14. I got my Alvarez Yairi from ebay for $10+ shipping the headstock was broken. a little glue and a bunch of clamps and I got myself a pretty sweet classical
  15. Pickups and Neck are Gone!!! I must have had the Buy it now to low
  16. I've got a pair of Original pickups from the 7620. they're supposedly Blazes but I can't guarantee it
  17. Gotta raise some cash to finish the doubleneck/2 headed monster My Auctions
