  1. in the traditional marbling you know the paint is thin right when one drop will spread to about 1-2 inches (thats the rule!) But i have heard of guys putting about half a oz. of each color up to a full oz. of each color after it is thinned right.
  2. check these place's out theshredzone.com chopsfromhell.com guitarmania.ca also check out this guy: http://www.eliasviljanen.com/
  3. me myself am a crate blue voodoo man!!! TUBE Stack that is!!
  4. usually most car paints are urethanes and have to be thinned with a reducer and then a hardner added to the paint.
  5. so you put the 3 different colors onto a white background piece!
  6. i order from this place some they have alot of colors but they don't have a pearloid red they do have the white though. They have several different reds available check them out. http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/acrylic%20sheets.htm

  9. Ups damaged a guitar of mine in shipping and i need a repair quote from a repair shop to get them to pay for part of it. But in my area there is no one that does this i have to send it off somewhere, and ups said they aren't paying for that. Is there anyone here that can help me out on this, if i send a pic. of the damage?
  10. if you still have the chipped piece why not just glue it back in or use epoxy then when you start the neck job of smooth sanding and polishing you wont notice it?

  15. where is a place good place to get a ibanez AANJ replacement neck. I would like to have one with no inlays and all maple or birdseye. I have looked at all parts and warmoth everything i seen is for strat style neck joints!
  16. when you push in the paint follows the sinking motion when you pull out the paint flows up and toward the edge! Probally wouldn't matter in my opinion though from one way to the other but you won't it under water the least amount of time possible!!
  17. Does this also apply to a finished rosewood neck. I have a jackson dk2 rosewood neck that i would like to make look like ebony. Will this hurt or damage the frets, binding, or inlays? What is the best type of stain or dye to use for this?
  18. only problem you want the guitar in the water the least amount of time as possible, cause if its not sealed good you will have problems later on. I tried one shot it does work but it dosen't give alot of play time before it thickens up, been told there is a drier additive you can get by one shot for hot weather that will slows this down. Never tried it though.
  19. hey looks pretty good scooby, i don't know i would probally go with a clear pickgaurd myself!! I tried some of the testors spray paint but i have no luck with them yet!! They skin on the surface of the water.
  20. yep yep practice like hell Mike Lavallee is the king to real fire graphics. Check his website out at www.killerpaint.com
  21. you could use dishwasher soap just have to be careful as to not cause soap suds or bubbles.
  22. i have to say jackson soloist or a Dk1 are my favorite!!!
  23. good luck on this one, this seems to be a taboo ? around here, with very little help on it. Far as water yes there we be water on it mostly water beads, that you will have to get off by blowing, some has used hair dryers to blow them, i've heard others say they just blowed by mouth, or swung guitar. As far as sanding it, if its a bare wood body you will need to seal it, if its a body all ready painted just sand it with say 400 grit sandpaper. As far as the type of paints to use have no idea. I have tried all kinds of types and brands with no luck. Others have had luck!!! Hope this helps!!!!
  24. i have seen them on ebay and in music stores before but other than that i don't know nothing.
  25. that'll be great if you can do that, man 13 years is along time to have a game in that condition!!!
