  1. I'd take off the base plate and just have a look around and see if anything has come loose. Are you any good with the soldering iron cos you might need to do a repair job. Check the footswitch and the input/output jacks also the powersupply jack. If you are confident you could take the circuit board out and see if anything looks suspicious.
  2. For some reason I read that as Chuck Norris and thought it was another joke. Haha, same here! My new drugs of choice are a DiMarzio Blaze neck and a Tone Zone in the bridge. Nicest pickups i've used so far.
  3. Sort of. I have a Dunlop Variphase pedal which is essentially built into a Wah casing, so my theory is, i could use a wah case and circuit board with the phaser circuit board in one casing and turning them on at the same time exactly the same wah you would turn on a normal wah pedal.
  4. You're not using a battery are you? If so check that as well. Does it buzz when its plugged in correctly but the wah is turned off?
  5. I have a couple of Air Nortons in my guitar and they sound anything but thin. I don't like them though...they sound too bassy and full for me. The Blaze Neck on the other hand, sounds fantastic.
  6. I'm wanting to make a 1x12 cab so i need a speaker. I've got a 2x12 with Vintage 30s in, but want to try something a little more powerful (incase i ever get a bigger amp). Anyone used one of these and know how they sound? Cheers
  7. Yeah, i was VERY disappointed with it. Nothing like i was expecting, but never mind! I'm a bit of a guitar pedal freak at the moment! I just love collecting weird and wonderful pedals! If i find anything else that has weird sounds i'll post it in here! Also, do you use a power supply for your pedals or run them on batteries, i ask cos the Digitech Synth Wah eats batteries for breakfast and brunch!
  8. Here are the ones i have: Yeah, the buttons and knobs are quite exposed, but luckily the ones i use are on all the time and i just use my LS2 to switch between channels! I love Danelectro stuff. I have two of their MOD7 guitars!
  9. I dunno what the Boss Slow Gear is? But the Dano is like the Digitech DigitalDelay on reverse, except with the Dano you can JUST have the reverse signal coming through instead of the forward signal as well. The DanElectros i have aren't mini pedals, but i think i've seen the mini ones. Didn't know they were plastic though, thought they were metal.
  10. I have a DanElectro back talk delay. Thats quite good for making your guitar sound like a violin. Most of the DanElectro pedals i've got/seen have really thick metal casing. Its the newer FAB pedals they've released that are plastic. Still, i can't complain, i like the behringer ones and they must have about £2 worth of plastic in their casing!
  11. I have a BOSS OC2 for this purpose. If you want crazy and weird, get a Digitech Synth Wah. Just bought one this weekend and its one of the most fun pedals i've ever used. Musiciansfriend has sound clips on their site.
  12. The place i usually get mine from doesn't order colours anymore and i need me some Creme pups. Post here or PM please. Cheers Peace
  13. Earlier in the thread you said: Which indicates to me that you encounter problems quite a bit. I'm not putting you down, i think you're very talented, but you need to learn to take time and listen to advice being given, or plan twice as hard next time.
  14. The Stereo jack shouldn't make any difference as long as they wired the tip and sleeve up right. Have you got a Mulit Meter handy you can test everything with? Failing that you could start again and wire in one pickup at a time and see if you can get it working that way. Then start to add the other pickup and 3 way selector switch?
  15. The 6-string Avenger's post made me laugh. Any chance we can get a sound clip of this guitar when its done? I'd love to know how quiet the circuitry is once its been shielded. Looks like a great and fun project though. Awesome!
  16. I know this is bumping an extremely old thread, but that Speaker-in-a-box-with-mic is a fnatastic idea.
  17. I've been reading up on these lately and i'm tempted to get one (if i can find one in the UK) has anyone here got one or tried one? If so what are they like? What other products on the market are like this? I'd do a search but i'm not quite sure what i'm looking for. I know the Hotplate is sort of like it, but i'm liking the idea of the emulated speakers for recording direct, but something that would allow 150watts would be even better (means i can buy a louder amp without needing to buy earphones for my neighbours). Cheers
  18. Technically you could say the exact same thing about ANY guitar mod. Maybe he just has a different taste to you? *shock*
  19. When you get a price can you post it here?
  20. I'm a big fan of the Ibanez headstock myself =P
  21. Thats awesome. Me and my mate at work had some old KVMs that looked like vintage guitar effects so we branded it with stickers saying "Talent Control" and the two settings were "hellish" and "sh***". I'll get a picture once my main PC is alive again.
  22. I really like the look of the X2N and the D-Sonic. Anyone tried the D-Sonic in the neck position?
  23. I've just recently bought myself a few new mics and preamp. 3 new Shure SM57s and a Shure Beta58A for vocals, which now run into a Focusrite Octopre LE into my 1010. I use Tracktion 3 now as well. Haven't had a chance to test these out to their fullest yet, but i'm sure as hell looking forward to it.
