  1. You should check at a local machine shop. Mostly they'll be set up for metalwork, so they might say no, but that would probably be your best shot.
  2. Well... nitro's nitro, and Duplicolor tends to produce either acrylic lacquers or enamels... you'd be mixing paint types. Definately try it on scrap first, and I wouldn't hold my breath.
  3. Come again? Anyway, applying a load, like southpa said, will burn out the motor. Your best bet is a pot.
  4. It's far more work than a wrapped thumb... the 4/5 thing is the same setup as an open D chord (but two frets up), and I find that it falls in very naturally. The only thing left is the low E, which is taken care of by the thumb.
  5. It's hardly stupid: it's far easier that contorting your fingers, and it sounds just as good. And learn to spell.
  6. FWIW, the tab book I found had a wrapped thumb on the low E...
  7. I would assume "function" would mean parties, weddings, and the like...
  8. You don't need to (AFAIK). IMO, maple fretboards look best with a gloss finish.
  9. I thought (I may be wrong) that Cobain used a DS-2...
  10. There isn't any specific brand that feels better to you in general? I really like the 60s slim-taper neck found on many gibsons. I'll definately agree with that... the neck on the epiphone G400 (modeled after a 62 SG) is one of my favorites, and offers far more access than even the AANJ.
  11. There are tutorials for this on the main site...
  12. Best stuff I've seen was a two-part we used in school... I don't know a brand name.
  13. I really don't know... it doesn't appear to be ply.
  14. Here's what the specs say: "Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar with Spruce Top"... don't know if that tells ya anything.
  15. I don't think I have that model, but something similar. I'd recommend any Korg tuner that can be found for less than $20.
  16. We used inventor in school... awesome program.
  17. I've kind of been in "need" (you know what I mean...) of an acoustic guitar, so today I went out and bought myself one... I'm not a big spender, so I kept the budget low, and wound up with an Aria (AGP-001N, if anyone cares) for about $150... (not mine, but the same model)
  18. now it just looks like a dancing spam... Thanks, Dr. Freud...
