  1. I made a wood bridge for my bass,I`ll post a pic of it,but I`m going with a nice Tun-o-matic I found.
  2. I dig the Red pokadot shades/curtains/blinds,with the Red guitar.....IS THIS SAMMY HAGAR!!! Just kidding. That is some very nice work.
  3. Sorry,I had posted but I didn`t see the AUS part
  4. I`ll make sure I don`t enter that month. It looks beautiful!
  5. Hey Travis, looking good.I finish mine off with chisels also! I like the the wood contrast too.Post a sound clip when you`re done.
  6. Glad to hear you`re getting them back.
  7. It`s a little different.I know it`s not strange or new to builds but ,I am actually carving a wooden bridge for my bass build right now.I didn`t like the way the Hipshots individual bridges looked with the woods I picked. It is changing as I go along but I am going to have two types of saddles(All wood and wood with brass tops),just to see the differences in the sound.
  8. ['Prostheta' I think twice as many 10" speakers and a valve head will see me better :-D] +1 on the more 10`s Move that air I think if you add an 18,I would throw in Bi-amping a horn in there, but more 10`s and dropping the mids really does the trick on the valve head. Here`s a quote from The Ampeg site about their 4x10 halfstack "The SVT-410HLF actually moves 10% more air than two 18-inch speakers, and 25% more than three 15-inch speakers! And those leviathans simply can’t respond to transient peaks as quickly as four tens can."-Ampeg
  9. Cyclone, The bass looks awesome. Do you have a slight neck angle in there?... if you don`t ,remember Fender runs a straight neck but their fretboards are elevated a little.Without a slight angle you may have some action issues to deal with if your neck is flush to the body.
  10. I`ll check that out,but if I`m going to Slap it`ll be PRIMUS! I use to use 4 x 15`s in two SUNN Cabs but I`m not looking for that Cream sound.I like the Entwistle highs, and with an SVT you can dial in anything.
  11. Thanks to my bass I`m building,I won`t settle for hearing it through some old Sunns or crappy Behringer. I just ordered me an SVT CL Now when I get done it`s a matter of what tune to cut an MP3 of. I was thinking `The Real Me` by The Who or `To Tame A Land` by Maiden
  12. The bass looks totally different with the pots and cavaties routed in. Very nice shape. I don`t know if it`s your own,but it looks original to me.
  13. Alot of cool work in that scarf between the woods and the colors! Very Nice
  14. It`s very Sharp How will you both play it at the same time? Who will own it? or do you share it?
  15. This will be a beautiful build.Looking foward to it.
  16. Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Campy, the fretboard is Cocobolo. Digthemlows,as of right now the bass weighs 8.5 lbs.I have carved alot around the edges and put a belly cut on the back with rasps and files.
  17. I`m glad you posted these.I was going to ask if you still had that second rate camera! No,it looks great.Nice wood.
  18. Of coarse,I`ve used them several times.Dremel sells smaller collets.
  19. I got all my bits from my dentist.Of coarse they were autoclaved first, but they give me hundreds of bits, not that I use all of them, but I will inlay my logo with them.
  20. Get some OAK while you`re there. It burns hotter longer Seriously, take the good advice.
