    we have some downdraft tables at the shop they just collect dust.......as in we dont even bother with them but if you do build one get a roll of drawer liner for a tool box like this http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=prod...&lpage=none to pad your top. your work wont move on it and the holes will let the dust thru its what i used to use on my bench for sanding now i use wet suit material as it lasts longer but it does not have any holes in it

    who ever told you that is dead wrong much like Wes all my Floyd guitars are at the head and all are two way rods be smart dont take anymore advice from that person or you could get into trouble

    this was in this month's Guitarworld"confessions of a vintage gear spam colum its kinda neat so i looked it up on wikpedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitorgan how does the fret switch work without afecting pickup noise/Emi?

    do you know how to solder?and do you know what tining is? if so read on do everything Batfink said and try this tin the noose just above the ball on your strings it will keep them from slipping you could also try fender bullets as they have the bullet end instead of the ball

    i have a 5 way switch that i tore apart and cut the tower off of when i have the switch where i want i take the modified switch plate and put it on my layout then mark the screw hole's then drill them and mount the the plate and use that as a guide for my dremmel

    how loose fitting was the channel? if it is longer than the rod did you pu some kind of baker behind it to keep it from moving? also don't use the sealant if that gets on you glue joints you'll have a problem instead use a peice of foam weather strip... just a little peice will do
