    I think what you are talking about hear is called "cliping" and if I am not mistaken it happens when the trailing edge after the knife is not properly adjuted. But Don't feel bad I buy boards that are cliped all the time.

    just keep looking around. I bought 3 pieced of nice Mahwgany for $18 a piece. I had to join them 3 bords wide (thee piece body plank) But they were awsome pieces of wood. I Found them a grizzly. I got some ash birds eye maple, Poplar and basswood too. Jon Ray

    Humbucker from hell dude I think that would roll out good tone from the neck. Jb would sound good but I like the standard bearer, "Super Distortion" in the bridge and you go back in time to when the arpagios ruled the radio. Jon Ray

    I guess there is always a counter point. I like the 24 fret deal but my next project is going to be a 22 fret. I have already Set up my neck for 22 frets. When it is finished I will let you know. I think I will use a vintage bass instead of a dragon and see if it is even sweeter on a 22 fret guitar. Jon Ray

    I guess I took lesons in first grade. 6 or 7 but I hated it. When I was about 11 a girl I liked loved rock music so I figured out how to play rock music. Jon Ray

    I think that is a sad thought . Only one guitar, My custom 24 is my very favorite guitar but I used to have a flamed maple strat that was very close. Any one ever play a Breedlove? That is the best acoustic I have ever played. Jon Ray

    I think Mawhogany is best left clear our with a red tinted Lacquer. Jon Ray

    I think pine might sound fine but every time you bump it on something it will dent. I think it would be fine to practice with but I wouldn't spend much time or money on a project with it. Poplar is pretty cheap and is great sounding wood. Jon Ray
