Maiden69
Hammered paints are common to the machinery industry, and the bast thing about them is that they lay thick, you don't have to sand and they are shinny(at least most of them). http://www.rustoleum.com/Product.asp?ddf=7...uct_id=21&SBL=1 the only thing is that they are textured, and if you don't like it you will have to shot a lot of clear to make it flat

deadmike
matt... how did you get those edges so crisp? that thing is awesome, i either HAVE to rip off the design, or buy one from you..
Maiden69
Looking good, keep in mind that the paint is THICK!!!, careful on the pockets, control and pots holes You can make that control cavity look better, it looks crooked. And on th enext one, I would have done the jack on the back, it looks good were it is, but I think it detracts from the crisp edges on the front

How Do you do it? And Ya My jig sliped A bit while I was Cuting But it's No big deal really I can Fix it with A Drum sander And For Sure On the Next one that Jack Is On the Back!! Dont Get Me Wrong I Love How It Look's Now But It Could Look so much cleaner If It was On the Back! Thanks Guy's !!METAL MATT!!
Jehle
This is one seriously killer looking guitar. Sorry to come into it so late. I think a razor wire inlay on the fretboard would complete the look!

jmrentis
Damn! Nice work Matt. I think it has turned out amazing, I think you can just buy cheap broken necks fix them and sell for $. LOL I really like the design too, it will match well with that body I think. You really busted out all that pretty quick. How are you going to get the thickness set. Just sand?, also are you going to take off all the original paint by sanding or what? Well keep up the killer repair work, it's working well for you! Good luck Matt, Later.
