Deadly Badger
Well I want a new guitar, and I dont know what to get. I really want an explorer shaped guitar, the top contender right now is a Kramer Imperial, although I'm not to fond of the fact that its a bolt on, and I'd rather have a mahogony bodied guitar, but I like the way it looks, the price is great, and from what I've read its actually a really kick ass guitar. But does anyone know of any other explorer styled guitars? If I could I'd just get a gibson, but I cant afford one, so I'm looking for alternatives, pretty much as long as its a nice solid guitar, because I can always change out tuners pups and bridges. I've found that epiphone explorers are a bit to rounded at the edges and esp exs are a bit much, they're cool, but somthing about them always looked... off center maybe? So any help will be apreicated, an explorer styled guitar for a god price is pretty much what I'm looking for, even a rhoads style guitar too, as long as it doesnt have a floyd or any trem for that matter. Duff Beer Man
Get the epiphone korina explore. Freaking sweet guitar, you wont be disappointed.
Deadly Badger
Yeah if I can get the material I'll build one. But my father is being an ass about building a guitar (my parents offered to buy me something because I got good grades this year) so if I can get him to say yes, than **** buying one, I'll definetly buid it. Nitefly SA
Some one on here bought a hamer I believe it was and said it was better than the gibson explorers as far as quality and playability.
Duff Beer Man
Which hammer did they buy, some of there guitars are expensive as hell.
crafty
Hamer Standards are nice, especially the USA versions. Even the imports come with Duncans, too. But the prices are going to be on par with anything from Gibson/Epiphone.
Deadly Badger
Yeah I was looking at Hamers, but like epiphones, I just donw like the rounded bouts on the explorer styled guitars, it makes it look retarded in my opinion. Nothings wrong with bolt on necks, I'd just prefer a neck though or even a set neck.
redwhiteandthemaple
I might be by myself but... I like 'em kellies. Jackson Kelly. It's like the evil sister of innocent Explorers. Also bolt-ons.
