Logical Frank
That's pretty weak, telling you over the phone. Oh well--if they did that, they probably weren't the best people to work for anyway. Good luck and I hope you find something better shortly. Quote Link to comment

thegarehanman
I feel for you, matt. I've been booted from a band over the phone before. Worst part was that it was two friends who made the call. On the brightside, the band fell appart and the two guys that didn't want me out in the first place started another band with me. WiFiGuy
Every time it happened to me, it was by far the best thing that could have happened. Sometimes when it's time to go, you ignore the obvious and hang on---at least that's what I did a couple times. All I succeded in doing by hanging on, was to waste more time at a job that wasn't doing me any good. Funny how I never went hungry, or became homeless as a result of being let go. Once I got out of my "black holes" I was always amazed and excited at the possiblities. You'll be fine. In a month or so you'll look back and laugh about it. And oh yeah, on the odd chance that you get asked back, don't go!!!! Enjoy the tail end of this summer, then go back to work and kick some ass!!!!!! Quote Link to comment

weaponepsilon
Dang. Been there. If you were in MN, I'd say lets hook up a new band. "Remember when your cat Snowball died? Remember? Why don't we go down to the pound and get you a new jazz man." -Homer Quote Link to comment

hotgoalie11565
Dude, that sucks. How crappy is that that they didn't have the balls to do it in person? But then again I've been there too. I just got fired from a job in February. So how did I drown my sorrows? Looked for another job and finished up my strat. But in the mean time, hang in there. This is but a temporary setback. Edited August 28, 2006 by hotgoalie11565 Quote Link to comment
