hippietim Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 This is the first parts guitar I put together all by myself. The body is one of USA Custom Guitars' fine ash Tele's. The neck is scalloped so I had to get that from Warmoth. I wanted an Antigua style finish but didn't have any good color samples. Ty at Roxy Guitar Finish did a very cool finish - not quite Antigua but very sweet indeed. The pickups pictured are Kinman Broadcasters, standard Kluson style tuners, modern 6 saddle bridge. I have since swapped the bridge pickup out for a Duncan Hot Rails. Quote
krazyderek Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 pretty cool, nice neck, good call on the hot rails! but you should really get rid of that peice of junk amp in the backround, and since i'm just such a nice guy though i'll take it off your hands free of charge Quote
StratDudeDan Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 pretty. i like. the cream caster... Quote

It's kind of you to take it off my hands. What's your address? Quote
butnut Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Wow, that is quite a unique look there hippietim. I do like that subtle Antigua paint. Feel free to show it off at www.telemodders.com First scalloped Tele I've seen, I would'nt know how the heck to play one. What other amps you want off your hands? Quote
Drak Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Man, that is one really beautiful guitar, I love that finish. You = lucky dawg! Quote
tsl602000 Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 that is a sexy guitar.......nice Quote
erikbojerik Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I particularly like the finish...more subtle than the Antigua, which is much too stark IMO. Just curious...when you play a scalloped neck, do your fingers actually touch the wood beneath the strings? I would think this takes a really precise touch to stay "on tone" (in tune?). Quote
Scott Rosenberger Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Sweet Ride!! I love Tele style bodies. Wait til you guys see mine Quote
DividedByJames Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 better lookin gthan the antigua's...they're more of a nasty green puke color. Nice Tele! Quote
