Hotrock
You might only be 15, but you're from Sweden too which counts for a lot Kaj (perhaps you can pronounce it right, because no one in this country can )
skibum5545
Pretty sweet, dude! I'm 15 too, gonna start work on my first bass in about a week (mid-winter school break). It sounds like it was pretty smooth sailing, but do you have any tips from first hand experience that might come in handy for a first- timer? jimmyb
Looks Great!!! Just take your time doing the rest of it and it will turn out great. If you get tired while working on it, STOP!!!!! I see this alot with younger builders, the tendency is to get sloppy as the project gets closer to completion. if you find yourself thinking "that's good enough" stop what you're doing and take a break this is the best advice i can give! aeli
Guess what? I'm fifteen too. At least I'm going to be next month That guitar of yours looks great and I wish my uncle was a carpenter too because I have o lot of difficulties finding wood and bandsawing. My first guitar was playable, if you can call a guitar with half of its frets working Well I'm halfway through my second project, but it is not very easy to build a guitar here in Turkey. guitarchump
You may also wanna try out the 85/81 combo i realy like it
skibum5545
the pups is all a matter of taste. EMG has soundsamples on their website, and you can compare the sound of the 60 with the 85. I personally like the 60 better, in terms of the sound samples, although I've never owned either.\ $.
MzI
i got a pair of 60 81 combos in 2 of my guitars ones an esp explorer, both pickups are great the 60 is perfect for clean rthym and the 81 is nuts for solos, its good to combine for the rthym solos too MzI
