MKGBass
I finished this awhile ago, and so far I've had little feedback, I'd like to know more what people think! Please, fill me in.
litchfield
The bridge looks off to me, and before you finished it, the neck looked off center. Now I think it lines up, but the brigde looks off.
GregP
I was definitely one of the commentors in the previous thread-- I think it's a kick-ass guitar. I like solid black, and with the maple neck it looks even better. Maple fingerboard next time, too. Greg
Curtis P
thats a nice guitar! hows it sound? whats in it for pickups? SPECS PLEASE! Curtis
Boggs
Don't take it too personally. This board seems to have the highest percentage of lurkers of any board I am on... Your guitar looks really good, man! Was it a kit or did you assemble it from parts or did you build it from scratch? Nice finish job! truerussian558
think it looks real nice, but did you buy that neck? im asking because having the end of the neck be a block kinda offsets the whole purpose of a heelless guitar (unless i am very mistaken) so you might want to carve the neck up farther towards the heel, and make use of them higher frets other then that it looks b-e-a-utifull. nsherman2006
if im not mistaken, i recall mkg saying that this was an EXACT replica of a PRS for a client, and that he wanted the 'heel from hell' in there. I think it looks great, and it looks just like a jet-black PRS. Quality stuff. Keep it up. Neal
VanKirk
I like it alot! As a personal preference I'm not into the white pick-up rings or knobs but that's just me. Quality looks great! Is there a way to get some pics with a little better lighting so I can see the carve better? Maybe an exact profile shot or from the bottom? That would be cool and it may help me out on my carve as well.
Dr. Jabsco
its a beutie, i like how you did the heel. it needs a truss rod cover, does it not? ps. the toys in the background add a nice touch
MKGBass
thanks for all the good replies. 1. I built the entire thing from scratch. 2. I have a truss rod cover, just forgot to put it on 3. I'm actually a little disappointed with the finish, I'm hoping we'll get a chance to refinish it shortly and clean it up a bit. Keep the comments rolling!
GregP
I think the white bits look slick. Cream also would have looked nice, though. Greg
Devon Headen
I think she's a beauty . The only thing I don't like is the fact that the speed knobs are white. I like the white pup rings, but I think black knobs would look better. And thankfully, that's REALLY easy to change if you ever wanted to. feylya
There's something about it but to me, it doesn't seem real some how.
MKGBass
real?....whaddya mean?
feylya
Possibly it's the beer distorting my view of it but it looks like a toy that's only a couple of inches long. The black cheapens the look of it or something. I'm not sure how to describe it.
bob7
it may be the camera, but it almost looks like a cheap plastic toy......
