  1. what is the budget? That axminister one looks pretty good. I dont know how to convert HP to Watts tho. Looks good to me. Derek is more of a router guru than myself. Wait for his opinion.

  3. On that guitar, the insets are simply through the veneer. The mahagony is what I see. Never seen a C-1+ in natural. Mine is dark red, and I can find cracks in the veneer in good light, and the insets are black. Anyway, on topic....make sure that you match the grain up if you plug. Otherwise it'll look like crap
  4. The first one is a Makita knock off. No clue on quality.   10. Legally, there needs to be a 10% design change to avoid infringement. However for a one off piece, Gibson wont come after you. Besides, a bolt on neck is a 10% design change.
  11. stain black sand back. Then do color coats. Get some black dye.
  12. Fender did that for the SRV strats, not the relic.
  13. Water based in my experience is so benign that it doesnt react with anything.

  15. I used to use EBs. I switched to dean markleys because my sweat was literally eating them. His technique is very agressive tho. That's why they'd break at the saddles. Unless they are slipping out of the saddle blocks.

  17. LOL, so true. Sadly, people are out there RUINING their fenders, some vintage even! I noticed no mention of a neck jig either. Then I took it as evidence the way I feel is correct......
