  1. I like the way it looks in the video mockup, what software did you use?
  2. I was loving the grain too. Your call though, and gold on black does look nice.
  3. Looks great, I like how you've blended the carve at the bottom but no on the horns. Shame about the poly, I was going to try it, did you use the Minwax one?
  4. What kind of bat inlays are we talking about? Not cheesy Batman-esque style ones I hope
  5. I like A, with C coming in close second.
  6. Looks sweet, nice use of the hoover
  7. Does your fretboard need to be finished?
  8. The finish looks really nice, that oak is pretty attractive aswell.
  9. I have a plan similar to that but for an old school (square heel) Ibby JEM.
  10. I remember the thread Ihockey is talking about, there are some links in it. Search in the finishing section.
  11. That top is amazing, can't wait to see it all lacquered up.
  12. I resessed a tune-o-matic on my last build. It went well, however I put the string through ferruls too far back from the bridge and now the strings like to wander out of the grooves in the saddles. I'm sure I could fix it with some filing or whatever but haven't gotten round to it. If you draw things at full scale and make templates you'll be right.
  13. This Mike fellow always does amazing work. I like the double black pickups the best, though it could just be because I'm bad at imagining what the zebra's would look like.
  14. A guy on here not to long ago stripped his Ibanez S series. Like others have said the wood underneath didn't match, and it's hard to stain different shades of wood to the same colour.
  15. "The Ass" kinda looks like a ninja star to me
  16. Is it going to be a forest, or a forest GT? GT's are one of my favorite ESP's. Nice work, and yes, the wood looks sweet.
  17. I reckon it'd look good in red stain myself.
  18. Dick Dales signiture strat has a reverse slant pickup. They should make a strat with a moveable/rotating bridge pickup, twould be cool to try and build I think.
  19. I saw it as a fender 'f' as well... Subliminal brand association, maybe
  20. The neck looks great, it's cool how you did the inlays with the dust and glue. Nice clean work too.
  21. Slow and easy doesn't really apply when trying to sand through Urethane, or any lacquer really. It's going to take some serious elbow grease to get rid of the finish, oh, and make sure you oil the raw wood for protection. I've used Danish oil with great results. Don't worry though, it doesn't change the feel of the raw wood at all.
  22. Looks great! That bridge is really 80's looking.
  23. That's a great idea, and will probably end up next to the kazoo's at your local music shop
