  1. Uh, not possible to do unless you get a special conversion neck. You'd have to move the bridge back or else it wouldn't intonate.
  2. You do realize that removing that fret and placing the nut there will shorten the scale length, right?
  3. With the F-Holes, it reminds me of the Paul Gilbert sig much more than a Jem. I like it.
  4. Well, do you? I do, but I might be crazy. None of my guitarist friends, even my band teacher, who plays guitar, and has for quite a while, doesn't. So, can you tell me if I'm crazy?
  5. Wouldn't work unless you cut the last two frets off. With 24 frets, the bridge would be closer to the neck, so it wouldn't intonate correctly.
  6. Dude, if that is a real Strad, I am quite envious...
  7. Binding! Route a binding channel or whatever, and put binding on it.
  8. Umm, your wrong....sorry to say buddy..... He did that on purpose. It's like a belly carve kind of thing. See: ← Sarcasm, sorry to say buddy... Anyway, that bass looks amazing. Great job.
  9. Well, do you know what pickups you want? You can get a wiring diagram for HSS at Seymour Duncan. For pickups, if you're doing metal, I'd get something like a Dimarzio Evo in the bridge, and Dimarzio HS3 in the middle, and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the neck, so it'll be like HSH.
  10. If you clearcoat it, then it won't be able to be scratched off unless you scratch thru the clearcoat.
  11. Er? Your old Classical into a Steel String? It won't work unless you reinforce the bridge. Believe me, that's how I ruined my first guitar which happened to be a nylon string. The bridge ripped right out.
  12. Floyd Rose on a Hollowbody? You're gonna need to put a block where the bridge will be then, so that you can mount it correctly. You'll probably wanna use something warm sounding, to even out the JB, and kinda heavy so the guitar isn't neck heavy. So, something like Mahogany or Rosewood for the block inside.
  13. None of these guitars make me jump up and down with joy, but UncleJs seems the best to be, so yeah.
  14. I think the Evo would be good for what you want, what with the harmonics and trebley sound.
  15. I like Drop D (I don't use it for all the heavy metal and stuff, I like it because D is one of my favorite keys), and DADGAD, though I don't use it too often. The only other thing close to an alternate tuning I use is a halfstep, or a step down.
  16. I'm gonna recommend Perry: Ormsby Guitars and Myka: Myka Guitars
  17. Nice try, but that "Ibanez" body isn't bound, and the neck joint is slightly different.
  18. Looks like a very high quality build, but I don't like that body shape. The narrowest parts look disconnected from the rest, because they don't flow very smoothly.
  19. What kind of wood is that on the back? Looks cool, Limba, or something?
  20. GAW. I wanted a neck blank or two, and I come back to find you closed up and stopped selling wood. *Cries*
  21. It's used for guitar prototypes sometimes, from what I know. So it MIGHT work, but like Blackburn said, I'd go for Mahogany or Ash or something just to be sure it'll hold up.
  22. That's cool, but there's no flat areas to clamp on, how are you gonna manage to glue this together?
