    Yeah, I recommend the Vox Valvetronix. I can get close to any sound I want with that. Clean, slightly overdriven, blues, heavy, metal, etc. I think you get the idea.

    To remove the string clamps, simply loosen the set-screws (Allen key screws) that hold them down, and then pull the clamps off. Nitefly: You can get all the parts for a locking nut here: Stewmac Link

    You don't NEED a Floyd Rose to use the locking nut. I believe Schaller makes a non-trem bridge with finetuners so you can use it with the locking nut. Infact, you can get one from Stewmac. Here is the link Yes, you can use the Locking nut as a standard nut (IE: Remove the string clamps)

    You can use Epoxy to grainfill the wood, and then use some sanding sealer to prep it for the clearcoat. So yeah, you're correct, fill, seal, clear.

    OH. Lmfao, I'm so stupid. I thought that the "Faux Binding" was the actual body wood, and the Burl was a veneer.

    Yeah, I think the top part is slightly too large.

    You could also adjust the pickup height... But if it's only that position, I don't think that could be it. Check it out, that might be the problem.

    You can buy new latches, and it'd probably be cheaper than buying a whole new case.

    Seriously Drak, I'm never gonna be satisfied with any guitar I build because of all the AWESOME guitars I've seen that you made.

    Well, I dunno, but when I play by myself, I tend stick some palm mutes in there as I strum for a percussive sound, kinda to emulate drums. Stupid Volume Knob gets in the way though, and turns my volume down though, so you gotta be careful of that.
