  2. Derek, that link is for the radius gages. Dave->
  3. Pretty nice if you got someone to do a better job than I did. That's a great picture you have. Dave->
  4. So what kind of covers would you be looking for wes? Dave->
  5. I also know what you guys mean. I built an F style mandolin(using Roger Siminovs book) without a clue to how to play it. I still suck at it lol! Dave->
  6. Nice idea Morben, looks great....... Dave->
  7. Has anyone seen Black/White pickguard material available? I have seen a lot of different variations but I can't find just black on white. Anyone? Thanks so much, Dave->
  8. Those are amazing pics Greg, Thanks so much for sharing them and it looks like you have quite a talent there. Yes, it's nice to have friends that are luthiers but YOU have to posses the eye and the talent for a job that is THAT well done. Great job! Dave->
  9. I'm always completely amazed at your work Craig. Incredible stuff there my friend...... Dave->
  10. Hey, for the black ice name, you could use "ROCK BLOCK" Nice work!! Dave->
  11. Well thanks so much for the kind words Brian. Since I'm making some for wes and another guy, I'll go ahead and make up a batch and take a gamble and see how they do. Dave->
  12. Derek, I'm probably not going to make the 7 string rings because I wouldn't be able to compete with Brian's rings. Even though my rings are far more solid, people just don't want to pay for quality anymore, they just want looks. So you don't want the 3 pairs now right? How much did you think they would be? Thanks, Dave->
  13. Well fellers, looks like there is not as much interest in these as I thought there might be unfortunately. People sure do like to talk a lot but until push comes to shove, nobody wants them I guess. I will make them for you guys but I'm guessing that may be it. They are $12 a piece and yes that's as low as I can go. Sorry guys, I wish I could've come down a little more. Shoot me an email if you still want them ok? fretsonthenet@msn.com Thanks again, Dave->
  14. It 's looking amazing, I think you're doing a terrific job! Dave->
  15. Gorgeous! Ahhhhhh the possibilities lol! Dave->
  16. Well, it would probably be easier to do most of the surface prep while they are apart so do it that way and then just take care of the prep area around the neck joint after you glue it up. Dave->
  17. Charvel 750 XL Charvel Model LTD 88 Jackson KE3 My own neck through and other various pieces of crap laying around.....lol Dave->
  18. Email Rick Hunt, he's very helpful and will be able to tell you what you want to know: tech@emgpickups.com Dave->
  19. Derek, like I had said to wes, I really have to wait a few more days and then I will be able to finalize a set price. It's looking pretty good that I will be making these though, between my site, ebay, here, and other resources, the interest is pretty good. Just hope I don't frighten you guys with the price lol! Darren, I would love to make those for you but I have not done curved bottom rings as of yet. Please shoot me an email at fretsonthenet@msn.com and we'll talk ok? Thanks again fellers, Dave->
  20. Aww come on bro, you know better than that with me. That's to keep out the riff raff out that can't understand why it's a bit more expensive to ship to Canada. I know it's not the best method and maybe you have a better suggestion on wording that? Believe it or not it saves me A LOT of headaches doing it like this although it's a bit rough I guess. I didn't mean to offend anyone( some of my best friends are from Canada ). If you're interested let me know. Dave->
  21. Hey there, wes, I can let you know an exact price in a few days as I'll actually have to see how much interest is out there. Obviously the more I make the cheaper you'll get them. I'll let you know soon ok? Thanks for the interest, Dave->
  22. I've had some requests to make these and I thought I'd show them here to see if there was any interest out there. These are made of solid Delrin and not cheap weak molded parts. I machine these myself and if there is enough interest, I'll be making a "batch" of them for whoever needs them. I put one up on the bay and had alot of emails asking me to end the auction but I don't do that kind of thing once the auction ( 707 ring/bezel auction ) is bid on. Give me a shout if you're interested in something like this ok? Thanks, Dave-> fretsonthenet@msn.com
  23. Personally, I just start off with a very aggressive wood rasp and cut the "meat" out so to speak and then fine tune the area with less aggressive files and then finally a cabinet scraper. Dave->
