The_Crimson_Ghost
Yay, Back from the dead. I find it funny that Paul Gilbert was only mentioned once. It's not for nothing that he's on G3. Plus, his latest instrumental cd is excellent.

Acousticraft
What about Jimmy Page on Stairway to heaven. One of my favourites. Eagles Hotel California has that cool solo that changes keys. Mark Knoffler Sultans of Swing, Brothers in arms. Mark Farner from Grand Funk Railroad had some mean solos. Gilmour Another brick in the wall.
westhemann
All of the lead work on Reign In Blood is phenomenal. Also Exodus' Tempo Of The Damned has some great leads. But my all time favorite is between Megadeth Peace Sells and Metallica Jump In The Fire.

Mr. Preston Swift
My favorite guitarist would have to be Xavier Swift (not his real name) from the band Preston Swift. He's just ridiculously good and can do basically anything. myspace.com/prestonswift Xavior Swift (from Preston Swift)- Fascinating ;myspace.com/prestonswift Steve Vai- The Crying Machine Sixx A.M. - Heart Failure Prince - Fury or the Super bowl 2007 halftime show Jimmy Page - Ten Years Gone Tommy Emmanuel - (any of his songs) Dan and Justin Hawkins (from the Darkness)- "I believe in a thing called love" and "holding my own" Edited November 20, 2007 by Mr. Preston Swift
zyonsdream
Wow I’m post number 33 and I didn’t see Voodoo Child slight return from Jimi! Give some love to Jimi folks. Kenny Wayne Sheppard- blue on black. God that tone is to die for! For the most part I’d rather hear a jamming rhythm track than a fluffy lead solo and for great rhythm guitar I look no further than Max Cavalera. Simply the best! Prostheta
Heh :-D Favourite guitar SOLO? It has to be a tossup between the last solo of November Rain (GnR), Deep Peace (Devin Townsend) or Play With Me (Extreme).
