Jehle Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Found this one while looking for more stolen pictures in eBay auctions... I've gotta try something like this. http://guitarz.blogspot.com/2003_04_01_gui...rz_archive.html Quote
weezerboy Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 aaah the bender distortocaster...i've played a sunburst one that had a dali-esque picture on it too at Music Ground in Leeds (like a guitar museum where everything is for sale) it sounded really cool though Quote
krazyderek Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 someone posted that a while back in the players section Quote
GLW Guitarz Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I see you've found my website. If you like the Bender Distortocaster, then take a look at these "ergonomic" acoustics from Burrell Guitars: http://www.burrellguitars.com/ --- http://guitarz.blogspot.com Quote

canuckguitarist Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 somebody said this before, but it looks like the bridge is angled Quote
Devon Headen Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 somebody said this before, but it looks like the bridge is angled not to mention the neck looks warped at the joint too Quote
GLW Guitarz Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Thanks Brian! I have checked in on the forum before, just never posted. I also check in on the Project Guitar website quite frequently. For more information on Brian Eastwood's Bender Distortocaster, please see here: Brian Eastwood Guitars Quote

Pushead Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 i've played a sunburst one that had a dali-esque picture on it too at Music Ground in Leeds So it's a serious guitar? Wow, I would have guessed it was Photoshopped. That's sweet! It doesn't look really playable though. What with the bridge pointing left of the neck and all... Quote
Saber Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 It doesn't look really playable though. What with the bridge pointing left of the neck and all... I would bet that it is playable because the frets are progressively angled (for the lack of a better word) so that the fretboard scale is correct for each string length. In other words the 12th fret is exactly at 1/2 the string's length for each string. P.S. Didn't Andy Summers play a guitar that had the frets sort of "fanned out" in an ergonomic fashion when he went solo after The Police broke up. Quote
Saber Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 I think this is what Andy Summers played: http://www.novaxguitars.com/Pages/Sales_Ex...sion_frame.html While searching for it, I came upon this: http://www.littleguitarworks.com/about_gui...uitarworks.html Quote

GLW Guitarz Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 So it's a serious guitar? Wow, I would have guessed it was Photoshopped. Yeah, I've seen them in real life too. And the "Burnt Marvel" model too - which looks even more freaky! Quote
