LGM Guitars
I haven't been reading this post, just saw the post with the big piece of quilt. How dry is it? It'd be a really long contest if you all used that piece of wood and had to wait another 2 years for it to be dry enough to use
www
I don't know much more about the wood than the pic. I will find out more and post the details soon. I E-mailed and asked for more info so I can pass it on.

Drak
Wow. Guess I didn't pay THAT much for mine then, but it was more than I had paid for any other top previously. I got mine, which I consider damn nearing spectacular, for $130.00 off of the 'bay. I thought that was a LOT, but LMI's are double that. SCORE then! Brian
Ok guys the sign-up and complete rules for the Contest will go up sometime around Jan 1st in a new thread. To level the playing field the contest will not be judged on how exotic the figure is on your body, nor will it involve body shapes, the amount spent on the project, yadda yadda yadda. The contest will be to see who comes up with the Absolute Best Tutorial on "How to do a Carriburst finish! So some of you are saying, I don't have a digital camera, well in todays world you can have the photoshop make a CD from your film while it is being processed so no excusses. But I can't post pictures pfft mail me the CD I'll post them for you This way people can drool over the most exotic looking woods you guys can come up with but if your writing skill's (trust me some of you have had plenty of practice on the forum) arn't up to snuff you won't win the contest. Before you ask, yes it will come down to a poll vote and there will be prize's for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
