Boggs
I am picturing using it on a koa topped and backed chambered tulip poplar body with a maple neck for one of them...
Boggs
Any guesses as to what kind of wood it is?
westhemann
The pic is too small, but it looks like some very rough bocote. But it could be any number of lesser known woods.I once saw a sawn piece of chinaberry that was very beautiful.

RestorationAD
Let us know how it works... I have thought about trying it. Seems like a match for a claro/peruvian walnut guitar.

Boggs
No idea... Didn't know that. It would be a pretty interesting fact seeing as they are so different from each other.

Boggs
I have in my possession a persimmon 3-wood and 5-wood... The 5-wood is a D8+ swing weight with a very compact head... I hit that old 5-wood about 230 yards! Edited January 4, 2011 by Boggs
