1. This is correct, I wired my ZW set and had the problem, also, believe it or not with the diagram 1, when I just change my battery I get a little of volume bleed between the pich ups.
2. I care SH!T for drugs, but with money I can get all the gear, girls and Rock'n Roll that I want!!!
3. That's better, I guess he will get the Idea, just Google it or what ever search you do and check 'em out.
4. Somebody finally agrees with me!!! I am tired of saying that to record stuff a POD or any multieffects will do a better-bang-for-the-buck than to get a good mic and a brake for a Marshal so that you don't get the cops called on you... is that sirens outside the house ... well any way, I went and got this and it makes an awsome job in modeling different amps. As soon as I get the MIDI adapter to conect it to the Lap Top I will try and post some clips...
5. Go here , this is by all means not accurate but it's decent
6. Yes, this way you can show up more of the wood grain than with the regular fixed bridge and you can get creative with the ferrules placement like many of them have, staggered...
7. best advice thta one, look at these Carvins take on PRS. For the price It will be pretty good. Also check their custom shop almost all their guitars with a neck thru or set neck have a reseced TOM and by my experience I like a straight neck better than an angled one, better to palm mute the strings, ( that's my preference)
8. After reading some more I will agree with the chrome rings, What about taking them out, going to your local auto shop and have them sand blasted with glass or a small media and match the look of the tunners and the trem?
9. I can't see the flames but it doesn't matter that guitar looks awsome anyway, I like the Parker style and it looks better with a fuller headstock than with the skinny Fly one. The use of the earvana, does it do all that they say, or is it hipe? An I like the way you matched the satin look on the tunners and the trem, not everybody takes that much attention to detail, most will order the chromed tunners, I love satin steel and black chrome parts, they have more character than chrome or gold.
10. It all depends on your preferences, I am considering eighter an SG or an Explorer with the neck thru that Carvin Sales, I will not have an angle the angle is mostly for when you have a carved top or a TOM you need the angle to get the right string action since the TOM is higher than a neck without angle... I will probably use a TOM with string thru like carvin does, this way I can do with out angle... And if you go here you will see that Tommi's SG has 24 frets and the body meets at the 22nd. I will so like this. It looks great.
11. K., now post more pics of the finished neck once done!
12. Nope the M2 and the KH ore more stylish than the strat, the M2 is like the Jackson DXMG, here is the Jackson, EMG strat see that KH and Jackson are more refined.
13. Eighter that way or just by switching one switch off and the one that is from the pup that you are using (just) flip it between on and off.
14. Ain't this the ELECTRONICS side, ???? PAINT??? Well since evrybody already input on it, will have to say the blue metallic, eighter the burst or a deep blue (deeper than lake placid blue) try indigo blue ( Ithink Gibson has it) but with very big metallic flakes, chromed and blue to get the shimmering to a max when the lights hits it.
15.
Hyunsu's probably from asia...
Hyunsu is from South Korea he already post it in the Solid body section, Kool I might get a break to meet him in a near future if I stay in the ARMY... At this moment I 'm in Ft Meade Maryland between Washington DC and Baltimore... just got here from Kitzingen, Germany... and on my way to ... who knows were Uncle Sam wants to send me. But I'm originally from Puerto Rico... La Isla del encanto!
16. That's if you order UPS air, I got my GNX1 from Musicians Friend and they had the free shipping and it stated 2-5 days UPS Ground and when I checked on the UPS site the deliver time is up to 4 weeks, and that's how long it took, 3 weeks 5 days. And this is on Continental USA, imagine from Hawaii. I will always use USPS, insured and certified so that I know the date it was recieved. It will still be cheaper than UPS. Bullshit. USPS is only cheaper for small items, and they never have exact dates of delivery. UPS is THE ONLY WAY I would even consider shipping a small item. Groung takes anywhere from 2-7 days in the lower 48, and insurance is free. Even uninsured USPS stuff is at least twice the price. I don't know why you have to incur in the word BULLSHIT since all that I'm saying is that ALL I have had are bad experiences with UPS Ground, unless you are a share holder in UPS you shouldn't be distressed... I look up my inbox trying to get the e-mail that Musicians Friend send me apologizing for the problem with the delivery, but I did called UPS and I was told by their support rep was that it "USUALLY" takes between 5-8 working days but can take up to 4 weeks, next time you do UPS ground get the tracking number and go to http://wwwapps.ups.com/etracking/tracking.cgi and it will tell you the delivery date. Mine said 4 weeks and thats almost what it took. I AIN"T BSing you or anybody here, that's the last thing I will think about doing since I am here tolearn and have a good time, If I was considering that I wouldn't be posting here but in the rant section... I do respect all of you and I think it was kind a disrespectfull, but that's me I guess all this ARMY and military **** makes me think like that... Also I just got my two guitars sent here from Iraq, USPS insured for $250 ea, it took 7 days, and it costed $23 and some change. And they whent from Iraq to Germany, to NY to MD. What service you want to use is up to you, it's your time and money... so have a nice day!
17. I voted none, because all of them have a model that I will like to have! But this is what I will like to get next.
18. Didn't like the 1st one, the second was was pretty good, and 3rd? drums off a little! and after the 53sec there was too much going on... But if it's all you. I mean your inspiration thats all that count, you can always imitate, once you create, thats what matters.
19. Looks great but a "V" is an instrument of mayhem, metal and destruction, I love burst finishes but on strats, pauls and the alike... a see thru color not bursted will look killer!
20. Looks nice so far, got a shot of the top of the body with the veneer on? I guess that as long as the truss rod works propertly, a t.r. cover will hide the imperfection. If you plan to leave it uncovered I think that opening the right side a little bit will make it almost invisible.
21. I know Litchfield, thats why I asked for updates, It's easier to just post updates like Boggs do instead of bringging old threads up like most of us do.
22. I know this is an old thread but since it's yours I know you will read it... What ever happen to el "Diablo Blanco"? I don't want to bring another old thread from the "threads heaven... or hell?" So let us know OK... that was some awsome piece of Burl.
23. Ok, today I finished the Squier. I painted the rear with Rust Oleum Vintage White, like I said only the rear was painted, I didn't care much since must of the parts in the Strat will be part of my next guitar or Kit that I make. This is what came out to be, Here the head stock was painted so that who ever sees it don't !!! why did I wasted the pickguard on a Squier, (better to think of it as a kit guitar), and a shot of the KH-21. I plan on modifying this since when I mute the first 3 strings the volume knob gets in the way of my hand, will get a concentric dual vol pot from EMG to have both vol on one, plus a new pickguard with only the lower two holes. I think is not too bad for a Squier.
24. Is it possible to air brush the stain? I have seen some green/yellow stain job that accentuated eighter of the color in random places, I think they called it "dragon burst" .
25. hmmm... Man scalloping is trhe flavor of the month here, I think almost everybody has done at least one. This was a hurry job, since I'm only practicing on this guitar. I got a R Rhoades imitation that a friend gave me all broke and that will be the next, I want to get as much practice before I get to do my own... but the LP on top is mine, that's my first try at scalloping. with out a dremel contour sander, I would not start my guitar uintil I get everything that I need, I want to do it right.
