  1. Chances are you'll never get rid of them they are the growth lines of the actual tree. Think of them as the rings you see if you cut across the top of a branch then imagine slicing and peeling along the length instead of across and there you go ring lines along the length
  2. Just thought I would show you a picture I received in the mail recently
  3. Yes to the 4 conductor 7's for the rest we'll have to wait for a wiring guru to come along but I think it is possible.........
  4. Welcome back, figured you went to Nashville as soon as I heard it was on for the weekend
  5. Your answer to both and welcome to the forum RGGR
  6. Might want to buy a wooden dowel and plug it without gluing the plug in just for this purpose, then remove it when your done.
  7. What are you using a U channel for?
  8. I don't see whay it wouldn't up close as long asyou get the fill in correctly........ Oh and moved to the appropriate forum
  9. I wished more people would invest in one of those little digital cameras, Might not be the best quality for $20 in the world but it sure is awesome seeing the work in progress
  10. I've been talking to a couple of wholesalers about this very same problem, Hopefully I can convince then to start producing a limited number of necks for sale which are slotted but no markers or frets installed. So far the plan is for Ibanez style and Fender style neck heals since those seem to be the main ones I'm asked about but these will have paddle headstocks so you can cut your own design out, plus it eliminates trademark infrigment issues. Some will be for locking nuts while others won't depending on the interest. The first few of course will be rosewood fret boards as well.
  11. Cool deal bro and Happy Birthday too if it isn't to late
  12. Actually you can get away with not using push pins all together if you just physically hold the template above the body while spraying.
  13. You could do the Poor boy burst, but I would still take it apart for the actual paint and clear.
  14. Might be interesting, I've never heard of anyone using it. I know a few years back I was concidering using Orange tree wood for a neck. The only way I could though was to first find a very old Orange tree and those are not typical in Florida unless it is in the wild because the farms usually let them grow a limited number of years before replacing them. Never took it past the initial idea though
  15. And thats why we need volunteers to help out! Fixed it
  16. Looks good to me, love that figure too!
  17. Welcome to the forum Avor The only Bass kit Saga makes is the PB-10 pictured below Unlike what is pictured they come with a paddle headstock, the tuner holes are predrilled but the rest isn't cut.
  18. It's pretty safe to use the rattle cans, your biggest problem is going to be building up the finish so you can level it off and also watch out for any sand throughs. If you can find someone that has a professional set up a nice 2 part poly works best.
