  1. Here's an idea for the quick-connect, not sure how well it would work, but it's an idea. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Stormleader..._disconnect.bmp
  2. Hahahha, the grass looks great! ...Oh yes, and the guitar does as well. -Stormy
  3. Hahahah, I was like "Man, how\why did he get the grain to show through like that?" Then I realized that it was the siding of the house. Looking good! -Stormy
  4. Shhhh, ignore the silly American and just move along people... -Stormy
  5. Hahah, over here in the US Pick-ups can be referring to Pickup Trucks. You silly UK'ers. -Stormy
  6. Just looked back in the thread, the mock-ups did look kinda goofy, but I think with a little work it could be done. Either way, it's still a sweet looking guitar! -Stormy
  7. That looks REALLY cool! Are you going to have a Truss-rod cover? If so, to make it matching the body would be awesome. While I'm at this, why didn't you paint the head stock to match the body? That's really the only thing design-wise I would change. Great job! -Stormy
  8. Hahhaha, I'm sorry, but that's funny about the drill bit. A real "Heavy Metal" guitar eh? -Stormy
  9. ] I'm in Evansville...that's as close to KY as it gets. Hahahhahahahahah, as am I! Evansville really is almost in KY, my sister always says we have more in common with Henderson than we do with the rest of Indiana. -Stormy
  10. SW Indiana. I moved up here from Texas thinking I would get a break from the heat. And I guess it is a bit of a break...in West Texas we had air temps of 115 from time to time. But it was a dry heat. The high for today is only 88F, so I'm thinking of ducking out of the office early today and working into the evening. It's gonna get hot again next week but only in the mid 90s. Peace, Mark Hahaha, I live in SW Indiana as well. Down in the Tri-state area, almost into KY. It was really hot that day, I was out mowing somebody's lawn in the heat. -Stormy
  11. Only thing I don't like here, is the battery compartment placement. Just looks out of place. Other than that, awesome work! -Stormy
  12. Hahhaha, this is going to be really awesome. Keep it up! -Stormy
  13. Whoa, that picture out in the sunlight is AMAZING. I think that takes the cake for the best top I've ever seen. -Stormy
  14. You said that the new one will most likely be from aluminum as well. Unless you anodize\paint them it's still going to be eye sore IMHO. It's just like, the body, fretboard, and neck are all dark and beautiful woods, then BAM there's this big chunk of bright shiny metal. -Stormy
  15. I actually use a piece of 80mm pick in the split on the shaft to stop the set screw from crushing the shaft and causing knob wobble... WOO! I've been bothered by the fact the the pots on my Warbeast wobble due to them being a split-shaft, that's a great idea! Thanks a lot! -Stormy
  16. I love everything about it, except the control cavity cover makes me want to yack. I think black plastic, or just about anything would go with the wood better than the aluminum. Just my personal opinion of course. Anyways, keep them coming! -Stormy
  17. Lincoln Brewster has some pretty sweet guitar stuff going on. -Stormy
  18. Can't wait to see this one progress, it should be good! -Stormy
  19. I honestly don't think it looks to bad, maybe if you did just a little bit of a round over there? -Stormy
  20. That is an AMAZING stain right there! I personally think it looks fine in the pictures, but it could be different in real life I guess? -Stormy
  21. OK, just wondering. Haha, it does! -Stormy
  22. Your welcome. I agree about playing V's, they do feel kinda goofy to play when I'm sitting down. -Stormy
  23. Are you painting the black strips like in the mock-ups you did? If so, those are not really chevrons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevron_%28insignia%29 But I'm figuring that those (The mock-ups) were just done really quick to get an idea of the pick-guard? -Stormy
  24. As far as the Schaller Floyd goes, they ARE the people who make the OFR. http://www.beyondeleven.com/Original-Floyd...al-frt100-c.htm I'm sure that their licensed version is just as good, if not better. But I have never played one, so I can't be 100% certain. EDIT: It looks like the Schaller Licensed version has replaceable Knife edges, which is kinda cool. -Stormy
  25. I LOVE that Red V on your project boards for your school, I think it's a really unique take on it. -Stormy
