  1. The only and only thing I don't like about my SZ520 is the bridge. In order to palm mute, you have to slide your hand in front of the bridge, rather than on top of it like you would with a TOM.
  2. Love the neck but I'm not overly fond of the body.
  3. Either 3 or 5 dB is technically double the loudness isn't it?
  4. It's an Ibanez Gibaltar III Bridge. Not available detached from an Ibanez as far as I know.
  5. Sorry about this but does that sound like an ex-moderator that used to be here...
  6. Are the front pickups not normally the other way round? Or did you put them that way to get a "bassier" sound on the D and G strings? Nice bass either way!
  7. I was thinking about the name thing alright. I was just thinking it'd be handy for testing out different finishes on wood that would have just been destroyed anyway. Actually Drak, what do you do with the WOD's crumbs?
  8. But your guitars are nice Ah, it just annoys me a bit but hey, it's your time, your money and your guitar. Who am I to say anything?
  9. Ah, I dunno. I just don't like seeing guitars or guitar bodies being destroyed.
  10. Ironically, I've been here longer than you...
  11. Drak, seriously why don't you just sell off these bodies for dirt cheap instead of smashing them? There are countless amounts of people here that would take that guitar from you in a second. You're just wasting good wood and an even better body
  12. If you play the amp turned up loud, you'll eventually knacker the speaker.
  13. Cool. I see Sam Ash is selling the 50W 1x12 for $350
  14. A guitar speaker isn't designed to handle bass guitar frequencies at high volume for long periods of time. And the electronics are designed for guitar frequencies, not bass. You'll get a better sound from a proper bass amp.
  15. Sorry to drag up this old post but I was wondering has anyone tried a Valve King yet? I'm thinking about getting one soon.
  16. Yeah, I saw this back when it was launched at NAMM. Looks cool but it ain't the cheapest.
  17. Tut tut. Using Boards.ie's webspace on a different forum
  18. Not correct. If he uses a locking nut and tightens the nut, the strings can possibly (and quite probably with a cheap locking nut) go out of tune and since he can't tune at the bridge, he'll be stuck with bad tuning.
  19. HB have a different design to that. HB is like Ibanez with the end point turned upside down.
