  1. Amazing work Craig, just an amazing talent you have. Dave->
  2. This is the Trem thats made by Kahler correct? It has an amazing setup underneath the pickguard and the trem can actually be locked by turning the arm. Is this the same? Dave->

  5. Very nice job, looks "deep". Good luck with the maiden voyage!! Dave->
  6. Do you mean the Pro 6 string trem? That is a 10-32 thread but I just heard that it is possible that the 10-32 is too small for some of the Bass trems. Thanks for your help, Dave->
  7. Hey there, I'm trying to find out what thread size is in the Kahler Bass tremolos for the trem bar. I'm thinking it's a 1/4-20 coarse thread. Anybody know? Does anybody have one? Thanks so much, Dave->
  8. That's actually a neck tilting set screw. It allows the user to "dial in" the neck angle. As far as the little lady in the pic, it looks like a blow up doll doesn't it? Dave->
  9. Hello, my name is Dave and I'm an alcoho............Oh wait wrong forum Seriously, I'm a Tool & Die maker for 18 years and have been a hobbiest(or is that half-assed) woodworker on and off for about 10 years. I'm married for 14 years and live just outside Hershey Pa. My knees are fine(so far) and I also suck at playing but I love building, buying, and selling guitars ever since I was about 10. Good to meet you all! Dave->
  10. @ daveq....... It is mostly due to tightening too hard on the mounting screws as RAI6 has said. The same goes for the cracks that you find on the edge of the headstock to the tuner holes because some people just tighten those WAAAAAAAYY too tight. There is no need for that. Just snug them up. Dave->
  11. Hey thanks bro, I'm adding the "heavy" Kahler trem bars too now. I appreciate the kind words! Dave->
  12. Hey Derek, that's a cool site bro! Mine's nothing like yours but here's some things I make for the Jackson Charvel fans. Frets On The Net Good luck, I may need something from you in the future. Dave->
  13. I couldn't agree more with rhoads56. For beginners, you just have better control with hand tools as if an accident happens(and it probably will at one time or another) it's usually not as fatal. Just start slow and don't try to rush things or take shortcuts because that's when you end up scrapping stuff. Good luck! Dave->
  14. I kinda like the knot. Gives it some "figure". Dave->

Dave->
  16. I'm in Pa. and I get mine in 3 days max. either by UPS or the Postal Service(depending what I buy). Oh, and welcome Levendis!! Dave->
  17. I actually use epoxy with no problems at all. I'm guessing maybe he used CA glue because possibly he endorses it? Just a thought, Dave->
  18. I wonder if what's his face(the creator of that guitar, I can't remember his name lol) got that idea from an old decorating trick. My mom used to take masking tape in little 1/2" pieces and apply it to abstractly shaped wine bottles. After it was all taped up, she applied wood stain all over it and then wiped it off. It actually look pretty interesting(but ugly I thought) and everytime I see that Ibanez I have to think of that and laugh. Has anyone else seen this process? Dave->
  19. Hey thanks for the kind words! Good eye Derek! I hadn't cut the slot for the low e in the brass nut yet and the sun was going down lol! Can't slip anything past you guys huh? Ok, it's ALMOST done Thanks again, Dave->
