  1. I reckon it would make a pretty good murder weapon. If it's what you want, go for it.
  2. Just to be fair, he shouldn't be blamed for mistakes just because he works faster than everybody else. Not exactly what i was saying, i don't see these "mistakes" he makes. It was just a suggestion really, i don't follow his builds as much as some of you do. Seriously killemall8, your doing well. I have made four, destroyed all four due to small mistakes, i want perfect dammit!!
  3. +1 Slow down and stop building so fast is my suggestion, this way you may make less of these "mistakes" and possibly enjoy it a little more.
  4. I believe he means most recently finished. Anyway, awesome axe.
  5. That is a damn good question, if it's the rear ferrules you may be able to get them out with a fishing hook (bent a little of course..) also that would only work if there you can find a gap in between the wood and the ferrule. Then if you had front ferrules, knock them out after removing the rear ferrules. I'm quite hungover and covered in permanent marker, so sorry if my post makes no sense!..
  6. $100 for a mahogany body blank is a fair price in Australia (i bought a few at $104 here in SA, still no idea what i will use them for ) Look forward to seeing the progress of your bass! Cheers, RG.
  7. Looking good, i love ric 4003's. Goodluck on the project! I cant wait to see the outcome!
  8. The CNC machines i used to work with were awesome Biesse Rover 20's, had about 13 different cutters and was VERY quick with hardwoods. Program it runs sucks though.
  9. +1 CNC will make some very accurate templates, using those templates correctly will get the same results and more satisfaction.
  10. All of my guitars have played fine, just no better than what i already had. They also had little problems that i couldn't live with...getting there though.
  11. It can do all, but the least complex is an electric guitar. You can, but you will have to learn a little about G-CODE which is the programming language that controls the CNC machine, it determines everything from tool speed to which tool to use for which pass. Almost, if not all of the wood machining leaving you to glue the fretboard and bolt/set the neck and of course add your truss rod.
  12. Sure, but if they aren't centered i would set them deeper to account for the radius.
  13. USPS is doing pretty good job for me at the moment.
  14. Lately i have been using my band saw in conjunction with my drum sander or oscillating spindle sander.
  15. Just a question for you US guys, which is better? UPS or USPS? Or are they the same mob? Just wondering as i have a package from USPS coming.
  16. It's not quite PRS, but if you are looking for an exact shape go here and scroll down: GuitarBuild Look for the cad file called "PRS Hollowbody" It's not 100% but its damn close to PRS, just print it through turbocad.
  17. Wow, looking great! I really like the Rosewood/Black Limba combination, contrasts really well.
