funkdefino Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I just know some people here are gonna freak when they see this. So, I thought I would share. The Gigerstein!!! Quote
BLS Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Yeh ive seen that before. Id be afraid to play that thing because i know id have that headstock broke in a second. Look ugly to me, probably sounds ugly too. Quote
krizalid Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 yeah... one look at it and i said wooo... can the headstock handle the pressure? Quote
monkyboy777 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I think it LOOKS cool, but the creepy part is the use of "assorted biological materials".....I wonder what that means. Quote
krizalid Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 i take a look at the guita one more time and i said... its pretty neat you know... but it must have the right music genre to suit that kind of thing. just imagine that kind of guitar in eric clapton's hand.... boy i'll be 6 feet down under when i see him playing with it.... you know what i mean? GuitarMaestro Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 This guitar is a masterpiece. Its surely a matter of taste but you cannot deny that it is very hard to build such a guitar..... Quote
Hotrock Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 An object of beauty. I think it's amazing. Might build one of them for my second project Quote
Bingo328 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 The guy that played that guitar is one of the guitarists from Blondie when they toured a year or two back. It had a write-up in GW back then and they went in to great detail about it. The Bio-mechanical parts are actually a few small animal bones. Birds and misc. varmin if I remember correctly. Quote
Scott Rosenberger Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Id be afraid to play that thing because i know id have that headstock broke in a second. It's made out of composite carbon Fiber, you aint breakin it Quote
samdjr74 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I dig it, but then again I'm a little strange considering I have one guitar shaped like a machine gun, another is a carved skull with rib cage and I just started making an aluminum broad axe guitar, yeah I'm sick Quote
sjaguar13 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 THAT'S FREAKING AWESOME! The only thing I don't like, is it looks like it has 5 fingers and 1 thumb. It would be really freaky if while you played, the headstock hand opened and closed. Quote
GuitarMaestro Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 @samdjr: Can you please show us some pictures of your axes? Sounds really interesting.... Quote
The Nordic Gawd Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 not my taste at all. However you have to appreciate how much time and work went in! Quote
ryeisnotcool2 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 yeah please show us the machine gun guitar! you have to! Quote
canuckguitarist Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I dig it, but then again I'm a little strange considering I have one guitar shaped like a machine gun, another is a carved skull with rib cage and I just started making an aluminum broad axe guitar, yeah I'm sick no way! I just saw one of those at a pawn shop for like $5000! Is it the one with a pickup switcher as a trigger for it? It's so awesome!!!! Quote
guitar_ed Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 There is a difference between taste and quality. While that guitar is not to my taste, it is awesome to look at. Very unique in concept and execution. The workmanship and quality are first rate. Guitar Ed Everybody has an opinion and an asshole. Which do you show the world? Quote
krizalid Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 hai all, i take a look at it again, i save it to my disc and enhanced the image to be a bit bigger than what they show. after that, i was thinking to myself, hell... it's very hard to make this kind of guitar and with a person who's just started to learn on how to build one, it's a bit unfair for me to give such review. i take back my word and say, it's a really awesome appealing guitar to be played and if i got one of those for my birthday, boy am i the happiest dude in my place! samdjr74 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I'll put together a little photo album of my guitars after Christmas. And yes the trigger is the pick-up selector Quote
