Guest AlexVDL Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 wow.. he's definately luthier of the year Quote
GuitarMaestro Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Impressive craftmanship but to me the guitar looks still ugly. It's just not my taste at all. Quote
YDoesGodMockMeSo Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Impressive craftmanship but to me the guitar looks still ugly. It's just not my taste at all. thats what i was gonna say. I respect what he did. And the talent behind it....but... WHY? Quote
StreamLine Posted January 13, 2004 Report Posted January 13, 2004 Impressive craftmanship but to me the guitar looks still ugly. It's just not my taste at all. thats what i was gonna say. I respect what he did. And the talent behind it....but... WHY? can you say $10000? that's most of the reason Quote
renablistic Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 Impressive craftmanship but to me the guitar looks still ugly. It's just not my taste at all. thats what i was gonna say. Curtis P Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 agreed, not my taste, but great craftsmanship Curtis Quote
BLS Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 yep awesome job but just isent my thing Quote
FajiiNako Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 M'kay, someone else said it, so now i can say it (phwiew) Ya i don't particularly like the shape of the thing. I mean, it looks nice, and the finish and craftsmanship is amazing... but wow it just looks ugly... Quote
Gobbo Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 to break the pattern, it was a terrible job, but its exactly what i look for in a guitar! now to get the REAL response, reverse the meanings in that sentense lol. Quote
Guest AlexVDL Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 the great craftmanship makes it a beauty to me... it's not my style either but I think it's beautiful Quote
Snork Posted January 14, 2004 Author Report Posted January 14, 2004 i like it!!!!!!!!! i dont know something about carves jus suit me. lmao. its just a break from the regular so called 1/8 inch gibson carve. plus i can definately dig it! Quote
Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 I kinda like it. I'd play one if I owned it. Quote
Guitarfrenzy Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 I really respect the detail that was put into the guitar, but I personally don't like the way it looks myself either. If I had it, I'd play it, but don't see myself buying one.. sooo. Quote
skibum5545 Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 amazing craftsmanship, but it kinda lacks in "style points". If only the finished product was as beautiful as the skill it must have took... a well, to each is own, right? skibum5545 Quote
Reaper Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 I'm not sure you could pay me to play that thing... Quote
G_urr_A Posted January 14, 2004 Report Posted January 14, 2004 I like the design. I usually don't like designs like this one, but it's so well-done it looks lovely in my eyes. And it'd be kinda fun to play this thing on stage (considering what type of music I play). Getting up on stage and playing "the evil riff" in reign in blood by slayer, that'd be mean. Quote
ryeisnotcool2 Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 i think its ugly! but it is very nicely built! i just dont like his carve, it flattens out to much at the edges Quote
canuckguitarist Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 i think its ugly! but it is very nicely built! i just dont like his carve, it flattens out to much at the edges exactly what I was thinking. That carve looks like its only semi-finished....i dunno. Quote
Snork Posted January 15, 2004 Author Report Posted January 15, 2004 !!!!!!!!! SEMI FINISHED!!!!!!!!!! look at the ROPE MAN! canuck you are an awesome kid... i've been having a really bad week sorry for blowin up at you about the height thing. i've been reallyl emotionally messed up this week. excuse me for the hijacking of my own thread.......... but just wanted to say yer a good kid! lovekraft Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 That is an incredibly detailed and superbly executed example of a poorly developed design. I love most of the elements, and the craftsmanship is extraordinary, but it can't decide if it's Art Deco, traditional or Country & Western. Too bad, a lot of effort went into it - still, I suppose somebody out there will buy it. Quote
westhemann Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 i think it was designed with a funky classic flavor in mind.ever see that warner bros cartoon about the three little pigs and the big bad wolf wanted to join their band? "the big bad wolf,he learned the rules, you gotta get HOT to play real cool!" that's what it reminds me of Quote
kings_x Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 I hated it. I want to see another JET with a Floyd-Rose bridge and one of those cool monkey handles. Why doesn't someone make one of those? Mike Quote
Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 Well, I dunno. Never seen a JET with a floyd, let alone a monkeygrip....got pics or a link? Quote
