rob Posted April 29, 2004 Report Share Posted April 29, 2004 Right, a bit in comon with canucks rekindling thread, I just picked up my 12 string and thought how good it sounded, but I can't play or know of many if any songs with 12 strings in. Could some one tell me some, I wanna have a go at learning some really good ones to add to my (very poor) acoustic reportire(sp?). Also most of Neil Young's earlier catalog works well 12-i-fied If you're into it, Leo Kottke made a 12 string dance under his fingers. So does the Black Crowes "She Talks to Angels" Finger picking: I like playin "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas on a 12 too. "Dear Prudence" by the Beatles. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" Led Zeppelin "Dog & Butterfly" by Heart Finger picking and strumming combined: "Seasons" by Chris Cornell (Soundgarden/Audioslave singer) and his acoustic version of "Just Like Suicide" I really like. "Tree top Flier" by Steven Stills sounds good but some of the string bends are a bitch on a 12. "Over the Hills and Far Away" Led Zeppelin, easy to play and sounds cool.
