ToneMonkey
The only comment I'd make is the upper horn. I'm not too keen on the flat bit at the end and the point where the horn joins the belly cutaway (completely forgot the proper name for it). But it's your guitar. If you like it, build it. Daniel Sorbera
I would ditch the parker style horn and more it more like the other one. Than bring the left side of the lower bout out some to the left. So it matches the one to the right better. As it stands I wouldn't prefer it.. I just don't like that parker style horn with the rest of it. Also the shape is screaming out for a neck through or a set neck with a sweet contoured heel. Ditch that chunky strat style heel. wardd
If your making it for yourself, who cares what we think. But, you ain't drawin it up with a piece of paper and french curves, so I say your cheating. Sorry, I'm cronologically disadvantaged. d ward
thegarehanman
I own a set of french curves for some reason, but you'd be doing yourself a favor by learning autocad or something simular. Editing a spline is worlds easier and faster than erasing/redrawing a curve.
Mattia
I own a set of french curves for some reason, but you'd be doing yourself a favor by learning autocad or something simular. Editing a spline is worlds easier and faster than erasing/redrawing a curve. Perhaps. But I've never really managed to get a feel for a guitar design until I saw it full sized. So paper and pencil it is.
erikbojerik
It's looking good until the ends of the horns....I'm not a fan of either horn, but then I'm old school so there ya go.
rokeros
So here are the things I've come up with your comments to alter. 1. Ditch the parker horn and copy the iceman or similar. 2. Ditch the iceman horn and copy the parker or similar. 3. Round The corner from the parker horn to the belly. 4. Extend the belly outwards to compensate with the parker horn. 5. Replace both horns and come up with something different. 6. Convert the guitar into a singlecut with a PRS lower horn. (2nd initial idea) WHich guys? Pr3Va1L
The problem, I think, is the upper horn's junction... It's too beefy where it meets with the body! Make it slimmer and it will look great... Now it just looks very wrong lol

Build a Telecaster. Wait, one more. 10. Disregard everything else in this thread and build what you like.

The Skullsplitter
Well personally I could care less how you draw up your designs (dern snobs!). But it looks like a Fliceman (Parker Fly / Ibanez Iceman). And I like neither, so this is not for me. But if you like it that is ALL that counts bro! PERIOD! Also, you probably will never, ever see a guitar like this again. So it will be unique! Build it man!
Wats
I like the Icefly. I think it's a really fun design. Have at it.
anderekel
I think that I actually saw a guitar somewhere on the internet that someone had built for them. It looked exactly the same and the guy called if Icefly if I remember correctly. I do think it's pretty cool, though I would have to agree to go with a neck through. sexybeast
I like it for the most part, but maybe it needs a bit more tweaking. To me, the rear bout is too small in comparison to the flare of the horns, or maybe the treble side horn needs a bit of work. The size and shape don't quite fit the rest. All in all, I like the concept.
