GregP
I LOVE Gwar. Bet that's a surprise to some folks. I can still sing most of "Hell-O" and "Scumdogs of the Universe" by heart. Quote Link to comment
crafty
Isn't that the band that ate the stoner dude in "Empire Records"? "You can really play! You should join the band! Sorry, now we have to eat you!" Quote Link to comment

Well, just make sure they use a spell-checker before you seal anything under plastic. Quote Link to comment
marksound
So, if you play a 'Burtalizer' guitar will it make you look like this? Quote Link to comment
Drak
Mark, I'm thinking more along these lines of your typical Brutalizer playuh. Quote Link to comment

AWESOME! Man, I LOVE GWAR. Their shows are something else. We had a venue in Houston called The Vatican (and eventually became The Abyss) where they played and bands would write their name on the walls. There was a stain on the ceiling (about 30ft up) that they never fixed in all the years I went there from one of the GWAR shows. I miss my copy of Scumdogs of the Universe. GBT Quote Link to comment
!!METAL MATT!!
Oh well it paned out and never happend, maybe next time I guess !!METAL MATT!! Quote Link to comment
MoCaster
I didn't realize anyone over the age of 13 actually took Gwar seriously. Quote Link to comment
GregP
Blasphemy. Actually, anyone under the age of 13 won't ever have even HEARD of GWAR anyhow. Quote Link to comment
Nitefly SA
I loved Gwar when I was 13 but then again, I have odd taste for a kid. I went to a concert of theirs in Chicago, you should have seen the looks i got on the el on the way back Also, oddly enough a show where they curse, cut peoples heads off on stage and spray blood all over the audience is all ages and Classicaly influenced, intrumentalist Yngwie Malmsteen is 21+. It was the exact same venue and I wanted to go so bad, I stil don't see why it would be 21+, any ideas? Quote Link to comment
Prostheta
Possibly due to alcohol licensing laws or artist request? Quote Link to comment
Nitefly SA
I think it might have been just artist request. I don't know why, that's like saying "no" to money. Quote Link to comment
Setch
Did they have the bar open at the GWAR show? Quote Link to comment
Nitefly SA
Yes, that's what I didn't get both shows were sponsored by budweiser, both shows the bar was open everything was identical except for the artist and aparently their preference for who's in the audience. Quote Link to comment
rhoads56
small tip when dealing with "famous" people. They dont like you associating them with your business before any products are handed over. Quote Link to comment
GregP
Nitefly, it wasn't whether you enjoyed Gwar when you were 13, but a question of whether 13-year olds NOW, in 2006, know who Gwar is. Greg Quote Link to comment
Nitefly SA
Well it was only a couple years ago... But kids these days don't have sense enough to think for themselves, if it's on MTV it must be good. Quote Link to comment
GregP
MTV plays songs? Coulda sworn they were that station with reality shows about high school and college-age kids in endless melodramas. Quote Link to comment
AlGeeEater
MTV plays songs? Coulda sworn they were that station with reality shows about high school and college-age kids in endless melodramas. It is, but you get the occasional music hour at 6AM every morning. The comes the Real World, Room Raiders and all that other garbage. I even believe they had an old episode of Headbangers Ball on at 2 am. Quote Link to comment
