LGM Guitars
Something chrome for you all to look at Hope you enjoy the pics! Here is the DBK's vine And here is the UV's vine and new board
LGM Guitars
for those wondering what exactly you are looking at, both guitars have new inlays and the Universe has a whole new bound ebony fretboard. The Jem typically has screw head inlays, and the UV typically has pyramids. now they have the chrome vines

rsera
where can you get this material(chrome plastic)?
LGM Guitars
I just make my own, but you can buy it from quite a few pickguard suppliers, the only downside is, the chrome foil under the plastic will lift and tear when you cut it with an inlay say, I cut myplastic first and then apply the foil. krazyderek
got a link to the stuff or one of those suppliers, i've been using a roll i found a t canadian tire but it's not wide enough to do a pickguard so i have to cut it up into lots of small peices and throw them on randomly for a cool effect... but i'd like to get the solid chrome/mirror look
LGM Guitars
go to a sign shop, they can order the chrome mylar

rsera
Hi Jeremy, I believe I found that stuff for the chrome inlays,is $27 for 100 square feet a good price? How do you go about sticking mylar on the plexiglas and can it be easily cleared? I would like to do a big skull and bones inlay in a body and clear over it. cya :-) Rick
LGM Guitars
I would think you mean 100 linear feet don't you? as in probably an 18" roll x however many feet? It's not hard to figure out how to do it, the chrome goes under the clear plastic, and the chrome mylar is self adhesive. If you can clear over the plastic you use you can clear it. I just wouldn't use laquers.
rsera
Hi Jeremy, thanks for the tips, and this stuff comes in 3 different lengths 100´,50´and 25´and they are all 4´wide and are 2mil thick, the price is $68,$38&$
krazyderek
4" doesn't sound wide enough to do a pickguard though, hopefully should work for you skull
rsera
not 4 incheswide, 4 feet wide and 100 feet long
