matthew bryan
I really like the Schecter Hellraiser Bass shape......for some reason I can not paste the link...... I would love to find a guitar with the same shape so I can build one. I really like the sleak lines. The off-set bottom end is just enough......not too much. Soo.........if you guys know of a guitar that has this shape let me know so I can try to build it!
j. pierce
Just me for the reverse firebird then No, I love me some firebirds too, some of my favorites, I think. Can never decide between reverse and non. Big fan of Myka's "Sungazer" models.

gtrplyr
that is awesome. ive been wondering for a while now, is there a thread that lets people show off their new handmade guitar or is that what guitar of the month is for? because a thread with a lot of pictures would help me find what shape i want to use for my guitar. i looked through the guitar of the month thread pictures and i got to about march of 04 then i had to go to bed, maybe ill just continue doing that. some amazing guitars in those threads Edited February 13, 2009 by gtrplyr
Rick500
There are a ton of build threads in the In Progress and Finished Work forum.
Willybomb
I dig that shape too! Nice pick. Thanks man. I've been photoshoping a few ideas as I think they need a maple fretboard and a floyd!! And a birdseye maple top. psw
I don't know about web sites...but I have a fair amount of "guitar porn" Books like the "ultimate guitar book" paved the way for a whole slew of cool guitar books with the history of the electric guitar in good colour with all the classics and the more obscure guitars out there for inspiration. Often your public library will have copies. Some of the magazines put out year books or "consumer guides"...usually featuring girls...check out the newsagents...this might give you an idea of some of the latest trends and fashion statements in the guitar world! Asherman
I still love the Strat look... i think i'd love it even more if every guitar manufacturer and his brother didn't copy the design.
stereordinary
That's an easy one. Fender Jazzmaster. But my own design is a close second.
WezV
i like that a lot... perfect colour scheme as well, white with black and chrome trim really works for me
ae3
Stereordinary, that white guitar is awesome! It's so soft and flowing... If you know what I mean. I hereby change my vote!
Michael.Speer
always liked the look of the fernandes ravelle not so much the headstock though
sb guitars
A nice shape is ESP's take on the SG. It's the same, but offset....I think any natural/common shape looks a bit better when offset....
Prostheta
Here are some of my most favorite guitar shapes. 540Pii +1 on that. Ibanez Sabres Warwick Vampyre ESP EXPs
Prostheta
Oh, my wife told me that she loves Thunderbirds and SGs too, so my choices are purely personal rather than being a Pros Family opinion :-D
stereordinary
Thanks for the compliments WezV and ae3!!! It's primarily based off of the Supro Val Trol, but I mixed it with some Jazzmaster and Les Paul to make it my own.
Prostheta
Nina prefers the SG shape to the Viper on the basis that it's more classic-looking, and more feminine :-D
postal
Here are some of my most favorite guitar shapes. 540Pii Looks a LOT like the Jackson "Demon". I wonder who was first? oh wait... it's an Ibanez... always 2nd.. Naw... I dont *KNOW* who was first... but ibanez isnt exactly known for their origionality... Warwick Vampyre That's cool! Looks like a good start for a design mod. Alembic may have used this as a reference. That purple burl is wild!!!! Sweet looking shape and woods! And I hate purple, but that is awesome!!!!!!
