  1. Hey BD, I opened this post and stepped away for a minute while the pictures downloaded. I happened to glance back at the monitor and thought, Huh--someone's painted the back of an LP bright blue and given it a creamy white figured top. That doesn't look half bad. Then I came back to the real world and realized what I was looking at. The kudos go to your wife this time. She did a wonderful job on that LP. I seem to remember that she has skills in inlaying as well. You get points for landing her though! Very nice on all counts, man, you've certainly got two classy instruments nearly ready to play. SR
  2. There's nothing better than a little set back to push us out of our comfort zone and force us to learn something new and improve our skills. Other than the line you pointed out and a tiny paint chip on the stop tail, no blemishes are showing up in the pics that I can see anyway. SR
  3. Not to mention at least three others I can think of that still need finishing. SR
  4. You could probably shave with that thing as your mirror if you wanted to, Chad. Do you live in the rain forest or what? That's a lovely view reflected in your tele. I concur with Mike about RAD's pups, but I don't know how much shipping them to OZ would set you back. Looking real good mate. SR
  5. Nice view, very nice color combination, very well done. Very artistic. SR
  6. You have got to be kidding me... holy mother of god. I laughed out loud and then cursed for a while. Really? See if you can get a pic of the car too tho SR And I certainly remember that guitar. I think I gave you grief for selling it without showing us how it finished out. Glad to hear your other issues are working out.
  7. Good. I'm getting the bug again myself. SR
  8. Hey Paulie! Did you ever finish this beauty? I know you've been fighting some export/shipping issues and having fun with clear coats, so I guess you are still busy. How's Dublin this time of year? SR
  9. Rotten luck about your car Chad. The tele is still beautiful. Hopefully someone is planning a huge construction project soon down there and you can get back at it. Good luck with it. Scott
  10. Alright buddy, I know you're back from that extended vacation in Europe. Have you pulled these out of the closet yet? Even just to remind yourself what they look like? I suppose you think you have to work day and night to replenish the funds you depleted on that trip, but we've waited long enough. Let's see some teles. Welcome back, and I hope you had a blast! SR
  11. That makes the evenness of the fade that much more impressive. Well done. SR
  12. Man, this is an ambitious project. I cannot wait to see how it ends up. You always show us in progress work in it's roughest glory and finish them up sooo amazingly beautifully. Carry on sir. SR
  13. That's pretty cool. I always wondered how they got those graphics on guns. I could tell it was printed, but couldn't see how they got it on all the varied surfaces. SR
  14. I wondered what happened to you......welcome back. Don't do that again. I need to see how these end up! I love your designs and originality.....and as I've mentioned in the past your craftsmanship is way on up there. SR
  15. This just keeps getting better! I love the carve, particularly on the back. Do you always wait till after setting the neck to do your fretting? SR
  16. Copy and paste the IMG code. If you're running windows, you can hover over the pic in photobucket and a drop down list of codes will appear. The IMG code is the bottom one. Just click it and it will say copied. Paste it in your post and you're good to go. SR
  17. Good call and it's gorgeous. I'm assuming you airbrushed on the brown dye burst? SR
  18. This has a ton of potential! the design elements work very nicely together. I really like the bevel and scallop on the headstock. I will offer one design suggestion. Consider treating the top end of your headstock to more closely mimic the tips of your horns. In other words, less round over and more point on the tip. My .02. Nice regroup on this, I hope it goes better. SR
  19. I absolutely love the timbers you've chosen for this! Construction and joinery looks top shelf too. This is going to be one fine looking instrument. SR
