  1. Got to agree with the comments above, I know how hard it is to design an original body shape, but my advice is keep experimenting until it looks cool
  2. Darkhorse - the headstock looks great, that decal really caps it off, the non parallel Floyd is playing havoc with my OCD though. Love the crisp edges. Monster - Mushuggah machine, attention grabbing top, tough as nails and beautifully crafted. Solstice - my fave this month by a nose, that Tassie myrtle is making me green with envy, the headstock looks supercool, and the overall look is creamy.
  3. So satisfying to hear and see the guitar getting played at the end of the thread, this one looks and sounds great. I would fix the position of the low E machine head, Lovely timber, flowing lines, I dig it
  4. That customer is going to be happy, fantastic strat.
  5. Great technique for shortening the screws, I will remember that for the next time I need it.
  6. That is a blonde bombshell. Fantastic job it looks great.
  7. A nice change after the steamy ,summer, On Saturday I went into the shop and asked if they had a Blackstar 20, then asked if they had a sound proof room to try it out in. For about 40 minutes after that they probably regretted answering yes and no to those questions Rock the joint to the lathes till the plaster begins to fall!! That guitar came out great Muzz, and I really love the ray fleck in the maple. It's great looking wood! What would you guess the instrument weighs in total? Thanks, John Heya John, it is nice grain isn't it, I can't capture the sparkle in photos, but the fleck does show up in a few of the pics. I was toying with the idea of putting some of this tiger myrtle veneer on the top but decided not to this time. I just chucked it on the scales and it is a few grams over 3.5 kg, so no crick in the shoulder with this one Cheers, Muzz
  8. Yep a magic moment in any carpentry project, It never loses its mood lift for me either
  9. demonix - Tasmanian Blackwood; Organic and authoritative, lovely sleek lines, you know this rocks hard. Mine – Big Red; Lightweight, comfy and redder than Lindsay Lohan’s woman bits. Crow – Grey; Great evolution of Tele conventions, beautiful top that reminds me of the surf and sand. Iluvteles – The Owl and the Fox; Determination pays off big time to produce a sophisticated and dreamy axe Manapia – The Dagda; Fantastic shape, the headstock and wavy fret board end is pure class brutal-lv – Existo; Craftsmanship to the nth degree, gorgeous top didn’t hurt either, inspirational andyt – Donnie24; Fantastic art on an axe, big visual impact, looks like a shredder to me :)
  10. Now I see it, she has very long eye lashes
  11. Black on the body really worked, pops the contrast with the green and natural strip
  12. You should totally fix that cavity so that you don't have a gap under the bridge. Your guitar is looking great so it's worth spending a little bit of time on it. With that grain the fix will be nearly invisible. Good luck with it

  14. So many beautiful guitars in one post
  15. Wow, that looks great Two things that can give a hum, copper tape on the back of the cavity cover that is almost touching the wires or your pick up wire shielding is soldered to the back of the same pot as your negative or earth wire, if it is try soldering the shield to the tone pot or the copper tape if you have it lining the control cavity. Why not take post a pick of the control cavity
  16. Spring has arrived in Oz Here's one of the weed sprayer, I used to have a nice statue there but she fell to pieces last week, I'll have to look around for another I bought a new toy yesterday to go with it
