That last one is JAW DROPPING. The laminated curly neck is just sick. Total porn.

Thanks guys.
Ive had this ss7 for so many months already. I finally spent a day sanding it and getting some finish on it.

Green is really hard to photograph.

Thanks! its been a long time since i DSCF0561.thumb.JPG.f63e31190929c865a577af288217fb07.JPGdid that with a real flame top.

Here is a picture after its been buffed. This one is weird. Its actually the most 3d looking grain ive ever created, but yet, i cant capture it in natural light.

I've run across that issue before too, when I've done a particularly good job of getting a 3-d effect. It's like the camera can't get past the surface of the clear.

The contrast in the reflections is far higher than in the figuring. I'm sure that it's a combination of lighting and maybe the camera fiddling with dynamic range, pulling down the contrast in the wood.

What camera and lens are you using? Tripod?

Ive tried with 3 different cameras. Only 1 is a dslr. I dont remember off hand what lens it has on it. I was never good with DSLRs.

If it's been said once, it's been said a hundred times: building a guitar is easy compared to getting a good picture of it.:P

Thanks scott. The black one was pretty awesome. I still cant help but wonder how good it would have looked under green though.
Before the busy season, ive been able to use up some of the wood ive had for years. Knocked these out in a couple of days.
