Please read the picture posting rules before posting any more images. Your images are too large, and too numerous. Also, this is your second violation of the rules, and comes one day after you were warned in your first thread!

Well, you could start by telling us what the problem is, first of all. Perhaps it does not require a wholesale neck removal...

If it does, then you pretty much do in reverse what you did to attach the neck, you'll most likely have to steam off the fretboard (or just the section #16-#22) and then steam out the neck tenon.

Looks like a nice piece of work - why do you need to replace the neck? What's printed in the bridge pickup route?

Anyhow, here's a good link for neck removal.

http://www.dbeweb.com/guitar/

It's also linked to from the Project guitar mainpage - searching the forum and browsing the mainsite is recommended before posting a thread, since a lot of question have already been answered many times before.

looks like its HCSB or HOSB and it looks stamped, hmmmmm interesting. he went from not being able to sand a guitar smooth to building a complete buitar from scratch.......and if you just built that a year ago, why do you need to replace the neck??????

I think we might, JUST MAYBE, have another BS troll hanging around...

The french porn is classy, let me tell ya...that'll get you bounced off the 'bucket pretty fast, too.

Well first of all YES there is an HCSB stamp. These are mine and my best friends initials. He is helping me in guitar building so i decided to put his initials also.

Second,i didnt say that i ve builted this guitar a year ago!!!!I said i built it in my free time!!!And its my own problem why i want to change the neck!!I think it would be much more better to help me like some members do and i show total respect to them, than being suspicious all the time!!!And i am really sorry for the porn wallpaper i had when i painted the PRS!!It was the only magazine i found along with MAXpower and i used it!!Whats your problem??i didnt post that pic!!

Third i am building 7 ibanez RG 7-string copies and i ll try my luck in GOTM with one of them(i will post pics from all of them)!that might sound crazy to you but you will be the judge guys!!(i will keep 2 of them and i am going to give-away the others to my friends)for those who will ask:why 7??

And i would like to thank one more time those who help me!!

I don't totally understand what you want.

As far as proving your skill. Your skill and Knowledge will be shown by your work and comments. Asking a very vague question about replacing the neck without destroying the neck and body( with no explanation as to what is wrong or why you want to do it) makes very little sense. If you were capable of building that guitar from the ground up. You would know pretty much what needs to be done. All that said, why do you really give a rip if we think you skilled or not? Seriously, you don't need to prove anything to anyone. Nobody cares if you are just starting to work on modifying guitars, or have build several. Be open, be yourself, DONT try impress.

If that neck is functional, and not damaged. Leave it and finish the guitar(my opinion). If you want a Maple neck LP with a different headstock. Build a new neck and body. Building a new body is not a big deal (as you know. You built that one). It is just the path of least resistance.

I hope you will show pictures as you progress through finishing that LP. I know when I started working on guitars ( a lot of modification and repair projects- several re-finish trashed paint job projects) I found finishing to be very challenging. I still to this day continue to learn and improve my technique(mind you thats better than ten years, and still have room to improve). If all you did was the finish on a guitar it would be worthy of entry in GOTM, a good finish is plenty of work to make a showing.

Good Luck,Rich

If you build that body, why is there red paint in the control cavity route? :D Did you REALLY build it or are you trying to impress us and say you built it? Like Fryovanni said, be honest there's no need to try and impress use. Lying is one big trap for you to get caught in...

You said you wanted respect, but you're not going to get it if you don't respect us back/first. Try respecting us (by not lying and such) and we'll respect you back because of it.

You know, it can be very easy to fool poeple and make stuff excuses up like the paint and the stamp and the fact that it is left to look like its sanded and and prepped properly for someone to finish.

Yet, it is another thing to drag yourself into a deeper pit where you may no longer be able climb out of until you admit to anything.

I am not blaming you for anything or don't think that the LP is your work...but with previous attitudes reflected by you, it does make us feel like you are hiding something and forcing us to believe something which is not true.

Oh yes, by the way, Why do the recess ring on the cavity routes so black and brown?

Doesn't this usually happen when you rip an old guitar apart...say that you sanded down a real prs...its not hard to guess that an LP may have been sanded down too..

Hope I am not sounding too harsh...:D
