killemall8
Yup, narc is right. I like building MUCH more than playing. I mean, like i said, playing a few songs alone in my room is just not that great anymore, especially since i cannot get any better. Probably start priming this one soon, After i get most of the woodworking done on the bubinga one.
killemall8
got this one marbilized. I did it once on the front, and it came out HORRIBLE. I sanded it off and sprayed it again. It is kind.... Eh, i guess. I dont know why i dont ever remember to do the back first. the back always comes out better for some reason. I sprayed the kandy red, and its a little too dark. but it will have to do. also, the bloodwood looks really really off... doesnt match at all like i hoped. But, it must be finished. Geo
I mean, like i said, playing a few songs alone in my room is just not that great anymore, especially since i cannot get any better. Right... you gotta get out there and play with others. My playing abilities only ever improved when I was in a band and having other people challenge me to keep up with them. I see no problem in building what you want to build. So other people would be bored... just do what you enjoy.
avengers63
that's a REALLY thick voulte you'd need a sledge hammer to knock that headstock off
supplebanana
that's a REALLY thick voulte thats how he normally does them.... you'd need a sledge hammer to knock that headstock off which is a bad thing because?

killemall8
I know i know, its huge, haha. But it doesnt get in the way at all. If i can play it and think its comfortable, then it should be good for others as well. As stated before, its all about location, not size. avengers63
you'd need a sledge hammer to knock that headstock off which is a bad thing because? overkill It just looks really thick & clunky to me. But I'm' not buying it, I'm not playing it, and I'm not making it, so what i think doesn't matter.
Prostheta
It possibly looks clunkier if the neck hasn't been dialled into shape yet....?

killemall8
the volute is just blown out of proportion. the headstock is only .50" thick, and the neck is .80 at the first fret. so it looks really big.
killemall8
Eh. Im not liking the way the marbilized finish came out. Im going to sand it down and just do it plain black, or white with black bevels. Whats keeping me from doing white, is that it wont match very well at all with the bloodwood fretboard.
