daveq
There's a problem with me saying that this thread is awesome? IMO, it's a nice thing to say. Jay - I couldn't tell if you were serious or not - please don't be offended by my emoticon. Just wondering what was up, that's all. Litch - thanks - that's OK, no need for more pics - I was just wondering if I missed what the top was. How are you going to finish it? Just a clear coat or are you going to dye it? Is there a crack in the joint (in the upper middle) or is that just the way the wood is? What kind of fretboard are you planning on using? What is that?
Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
Thanx guys. The "crack", well, in the pickup location, there is a small gap in the top. There is also a crack in the wood (actually a saw line) in the left waist that will be carved out.
Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
I was thinking about doing something like this with the DC: http://edromanguitars.com/avail/guitar/jet/153_550.jpg http://edromanguitars.com/avail/guitar/jet/161_550.jpg Any thoughts? I realize mine isnt as figured, but i think that could actually add to the effect using the cherry.
goth_fiend
that is the kind of finish im going to do on my rhodes! i told you i would need some seriously figured wood man!
daveq
Does the top you have on that DC have figuring - it's hard to tell from the pics? Are you going to bleach it before applying the dye?

Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
I said I realize the top is as figured, but the way this cherry acts will definately help for a similar effect. Yes I will be bleaching it on friday.

Buyer beware.
