Guitarfrenzy
Again I remind you, this is not the military, it is about guys who like to build guitars. I hope we don't have to disassemble our guitars, and re-assemble it again with our eyes covered You mean you guys can't? lol Link to comment
Drak
I hope we don't have to disassemble our guitars, and re-assemble it again with our eyes covered Your DAMN right you will, and you'll DO IT until you can DO IT in UNDER THIRTY SECONDS TUNED TO CONCERT PITCH. DO YOU HEAR ME SOLDIER? Now GET DOWN and GIVE ME FIFTY you TWEED! Y'know, this is the best thread running on PG right now, it feels like old times!!! Link to comment
Lex Luthier
Looks like these changes are really pissing people off, and driving them away. I hope this doesn't continue, I really like PG. This forum is the one I've stayed with the longest, because it's right up my alley being mainly about electric guitars/basses. I used to post on the 13th Fret, but got board with that, the TGF, but got bored with that, the FDP, but got bored/annoyed with that, Harmony Central, but got really annoyed with that, Acoustic Guitar, but bored/annoyed with that in a week. This is the one forum I've stayed with, I just don't want to see it go to hell with these changes, that's all. I remember reading something about how this happened on Harmony Central in the Electric Guitars section, when they changed the rules, a bunch of the 'oldtimers' left...I though it was refered to as the 'great movement' or something like that. soapbarstrat
I'm kind of curious who wants a badge/specialist title. I don't want one. I'm just a simple guitar player/repair guy who doesn't want to come across like I know better than others. maybe at times I'll get close to that, but then I'll bring it across in a particular thread, by what I write. I once worked in a department store. Once day I got promoted. Then they said I need to wear a tie. I gave them 2 weeks notice. I also recently got a sheriff's badge out of the Corn Flakes box. Sure, it was great at first, but then the chrome plating wore off, and I was left with a silly looking piece of white plastic pinned to my jacket and had to start paying for the donuts again. Badges are for cops, firepersons, guards, boy and girl scouts, and generally people of authority. That leaves me out! Link to comment
weezerboy
i also feel that the whole badges thing takes away any personality from the forum , people wouldn't build professional relationships, they'd just go to the "finishing dude" or the "building dude" Link to comment

Guitarfrenzy
I say if a Badger knew enough he could have a Badge also. Just kidding, but really just trying to lighten the tension in here.. You could cut it with a knife.. lol Link to comment

Kevan
Wow. I guess you guys don't like being responsible for Litch's actions, and I can't really blame you. I guess the Private Pyle Method isn't very cool. We can skip that. Especially now that Litch is a Moderator. I'm giving myself a 2-week vacation. So, while I'm gone, Litch is in charge. Enjoy. westhemann
i may be unavailable for a while as well...i am sure litch can help with whatever may arise ahh vacation.... Link to comment

litchfield
Well, for the record, I have deleted some threads....dont worry, they were mine in the classifieds. That is an area that is cluttered. When a transaction goes through, let a mod know, then we can get rid of the thread. Link to comment
ProjectGuitar.com
Please just close the thread instead of deleting it . We will archive the Classifieds very soon. And try to keep this thread on topic. You can post your moderation here: http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...topic=10692&hl= Link to comment
Guitarfrenzy
I can't belive what I'm seeing, I never thought of you guys as ones who give up. You can tell more about a persons character in adversity, than in all the time when things are going smooth. I really lost some respect for you guys today. I hope I'm reading you guys wrong, but you should read this famous quote that drives me when challenges come up, and you want to fold. Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Thomas A. Edison Also as far as the badge situtation goes. Thomas had a great saying that fits that also. There's a way to do it better - find it. Thomas A. Edison Actually life would be pretty boring with out challenges each day. Hopefully you guys will regain your senses and follow through with the changes that will only make PG better in the long run. I hope I haven't hurt anyones feeling, but maybe this will inspire you to rethink what you've done. Matt Vinson Link to comment
westhemann
nobody is "giving up" as far as i know...litch is here to help with the changes, not in place of them the "private pyle" method is the only thing that has changed understand?the new sig rules and such still apply noticed the new badges yet?that is also part of the new pg Link to comment
Lex Luthier
that is also part of the new pg Seems these changes we have been discussing/whining about are beginning to take place...kind of exciting, and suprising! Link to comment
Maiden69
Badges are cool, but Litch better get that color changed, you can say chocolate brown, but you can also say s......... well you get the idea. Link to comment
lovekraft
So Kevan gives himself a time-out, and Litchfield becomes a moderator in his stead. Now that's magnificent symmetry - Machiavelli would be pleased! Link to comment
StratDudeDan
i don't think anyone could have written a stranger plot twist... the biggest fighter/aggrivant (no offense inteded litch...honestly...) becomes a mod, but not just a mod, he also has the tyrranous (no offense intended kevan...honestly...) go off for a while. this is one of two things: kevan saying, "this is how i have it..." or something very odd happened behind closed doors. i believe that badger was involved... rhoads56
Wow, according to the rules, i have to sit on my hands and not make comments about mods/admin. Ok, well, let me say it like this then... You can have your pathetic rules, and i'll just sit back and take part a lot less often from now on. Link to comment
litchfield
Perry, Things will be better. I doubt the one pic rule will stand. Obnoxious pic sizes need to stop, but as foe amount, I dont think there should be one other than board settings. Link to comment
