Mr Natural
this pic says a million words. The compensation you get beyond the price of product- happy customers. Those are awesome looking builds. The only thing i dont like is the cavity cover shape. That'll be different next year- I have an idea I've never seen done on a guitar before. As soon as I messaged the owner of this one that it was ready he jumped in his car and came to collect - lives about 1.5hrs away.

westhemann
That Beast i did years ago was all mahogany with an ebony board. The tone was out of this world...if it had been something that didn't poke the crap out of me I would still have it
demonx
Chris's Warhorse (#1) finished! I used a slightly darker grainfiller on this one, gives it a more earthy look. It's only a very slight tint difference but makes a big difference in the finish item.

demonx
No idea, I don't have a set of scales.
demonx
Another one setup today and new photo's. This time it's Davids (#3) SS7 - 26.125" scale - 666 scale in metric! It's actually 663, but since I move my bridges back 3mm it's really 666! I never even planned it, just works out that way

Prostheta
Another one setup today and new photo's. This time it's Davids (#3) SS7 - 26.125" scale - 666 scale in metric! It's actually 663, but since I move my bridges back 3mm it's really 666! I never even planned it, just works out that way It's especially funny when you consider that it is actually a very playable scale length too! Enough so that it feels familiar in terms of tension and spacing yet long enough to add tension to the seventh string without cheese-wiring the high strings. To be particularly awkward I like calculating my scales in Metric. Imperial fractions just aren't appropriate unless you've specifically been brought up to work in that method, and even then decimal calculations are more logical. I do agree that fraction-based calculations are excellent in engineering terms for simple ratios and division of course. Anyway. Reminds me of Gender Of The Beast (NSFW). Dave Higham
Also, you are not going to get a bearing-guided cutter at anything smaller than your 9,5mm bit so you're stuck at that corner radius. http://www.toolstoday.com/p-6238-miniature-flush-trim-plunge-template-router-bits-with-upper-ball-bearing-guide.aspx

demonx
http://youtu.be/u6U3kKyAR9g First of all, this is a quick mobile phone recording, so the video and sound are low quality, second of all, it was unplanned and spontaneous and I didn't even manage to get the camera sitting in the right spot. Well, who cares, it's a quickie one shot and its over video so I wasn't going to do it again!

demonx
Here is a couple of bolt on bodies I'm getting ready to go out - this pic is clear primer, under the clear is a clear sealer/filler, over the top a trans finish will be sprayed on one and an airbrushed camo on the other. killemall8
Where did you get the clear primer? been looking for that stuff for years.
demonx
It's automotive 2k. I use it for priming (over a sealer) and I also use it to top coat. It's an expensive way to paint and it also takes much longer, but I get good results that way. I've used dedicated clear "primers" before and they tend to dull the overall finish.
