Perry will be out buying a Drool Bucket and a Mop when he sees this one, this is easily one of the best I have ever done. B)

The previous pics don't hold a bloomin' onion to what it looks like now, even I am amazed and in awe of this thing, and I'm pretty critical of my own stuff (just ask the W.O.D.) :D

It's times like this why I remember I started doing this some 12 odd years ago, it was ALL worth it for moments like this one. :D

I had to break out the airbrush to do the edgeburst around the outer edges of the headstock today.

Came out -perfect-. B)

This guitar was just born to rock I'm coming to believe. :D

Pics coming soon, not much left to do but a few more clearcoats now and then assembly.

Any guitar that can sidestep the jaws of W.O.D. and make it to the finish line is a worthy guitar inDEED. :D

Came out -perfect-.

Careful how and when you use that word.

It's been known to *jinks* many a good job :D

Remember the Hindenberg? Someone said " And that's a *perfect* landing."

How durst someone try to explain my W.O.D. :D

It's:

THE WALL OF DEATH

:DB):D

Flies all green 'n buzzin' in his dungeon of despair

Prisoners grumble and piss their clothes and scratch their matted hair

A tiny light from a window hole a hundred yards away

Is all they ever get to know about the regular life in the day;

An' it stinks so bad the stones been chokin'

'N weepin' greenish drops

In the room where the giant fire puffer works

'N the torture never stops

The torture never stops

Slime 'n rot, rats 'n snot 'n vomit on the floor

Fifty ugly soldiers, man, holdin' spears by the iron door

Knives 'n spikes 'n guns 'n the likes of every tool of pain

An' a sinister midget with a bucket an' a mop where the blood goes down the drain;

An' it stinks so bad the stones been chokin'

'N weepin' greenish drops

In the room where the giant fire puffer works

'N the torture never stops

The torture never stops

The torture

The torture

The torture never stops.

Flies all green 'n buzzin' in his dungeon of despair

An evil prince eats a steamin' pig in a chamber right near there

He eats the snouts 'n the trotters first

The loin's 'n the groin's is soon dispersed

His carvin' style is well rehearsed

He stands and shouts

All men be cursed

All men be cursed

All men be cursed

All men be cursed

And disagree, well no-one durst

He's the best of course of all the worst

Some wrong been done, he done it first

(Well, well) An' he stinks so bad, his bones been chokin'

(Yeah) 'N weepin' greenish drops,

(Well) In the night of the iron sausage,

(Well) Where the torture never stops

The torture never stops

The torture

The torture

The torture never stops.

:D Wow! You did it again, I have never seen a guitar of yours that I didn't like. That blue quilt looks great, and the matching headstock is equally as cool. It's been a while since the last pictures, I was starting to wonder if WOD did get a hold of it. But now that it is done, I can't even see the line that used to be down the middle. Congrats!

PS. Any chance of getting pics from different angles so we can see more of it? :D

The torture never stops.

by Frank Zappa with Captain Beefheart nuances thrown in for good measure. :D

Deeper than the deep blue ocean, Drak.

I'm also hankering for some more all over pics.

I think the 'burst gradations are so subtle you're missing the finesse of it, but to each his own. :D

This burst is a toner burst btw, where the base color is applied to the wood, then cleared over, then the rest is done with colors mixed into the lacquer.

The other popular way is to put all your colors on the wood and clear over the whole thing.

2 methods, 2 different looks.
