mattharris75
This should probably be in off topic chat, but anyway... From what i've seen mine are a bit odd compared to most here: Trey Anastasio, Nuno Bettencourt, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Dennis Casey (Flogging Molly), and Billy Joe Armstrong. iskim86
Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit made me pick up the guitar around 6 years ago. that was when i was an angry teenager playing nu-metal. now, i' really love Jeff Loomis's works with Nevermore. such an awesome guitarist. marksound
Definitely Steve Morse of Deep Purple... I´ve made copy of his signature guitar http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...ry+first+guitar Just when you think can't possibly get any older. When most people my age think Steve Morse they think Dixie Dregs, and when I saw that you had made a copy of Morse's guitar, I thought of this:
Thoughtless 7
I thought the same thing Mark! I had a lot of influence when growing up, but the biggest was Ginger from The Wildhearts and Head from Korn.

Stolysmaster
Yup...Although I'm familiar with his work with Purple and like it, I always associate Steve Morse first with the Dixie Dregs, and Blackmore with Purple...because he established the "Purple" sound. OK, the top ten for me: Michael Schenker, Ritchie Blackmore, Pat Travers, Dave Meniketi, Gary Moore, Robin Trower, Yngwie Malmsteen, Buck Dharma, Mathias Jabs, Uli John Roth, Leslie West (Yes, I know thats eleven...same as the Volume Knob on my amp). biliousfrog
How could I have forgotten Jonny Greenwood ...amazingly inspirational, also Rob Dickinson & Brian Futter from Catherine Wheel...massively underated & almost unknown in their home country let alone their home town. I must say that I get more inspiration from non-guitarists as most things have been done a million times. Les Claypool always makes me smile, Chad Smith is great fun to watch, Chemical Bros, Prodigy, Faithless, Dust Bros have all heavily influenced my need to find new sounds. ...ah, that fuzzy haired guy from Incubus, Mike someone? He has some good moments especially in their "Time Lapse Consortium" side project.
